Good value for an affordable price. It is only 10 min drive to downtown or the mall
Breakfast only have a few sweet options and generally not good. The boiled egg is refrigerated (well they boiled the night before). I would prefer a hot/warm egg or scramble egg. They should have more savory options since cold boiled egg is the only savory option.
Wifi is too bad, and I couldn't connect at all.
The room was perfectly adequate. Exactly what I needed at a very affordable price. Clearly they have done some work, and re-painted several walls.
The bed was uncomfortable; sort of leaned one direction. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, so I usually ate out at a coffee shop.
Room/hotel was definitely dated, but it was clean, comfortable and secure. Breakfast met my expectations and needs. Staff was excellent.
Really need to fix things that are falling apart (bathroom flooring coming up, tissue box hanging out of the wall). I really did not like the entrance to the building. It gave me a very unsafe feeling.
Terrible breakfast plus there wasn't any breakfast on Sunday -- no one around to get the food out.
It was convenient for me to be at and I've been there before the sale and transfer of this hotel.
Walking into the reception area. There was no one at the desk. And when using the phone to contact them to come down, it took a long time before someone showed up.
Then, there was the matter of the smell of marijuana that wafted throughout the hallway. When I brought it up to the person who finally showed up at the reception desk that about the smell, he made it seem like he didn't know what I was talking about after. Just looking at him and saying, really then he knew what I was talking about. Back at all. Now when checking out and someone else was checking in, nobody came down for a long time. Customer service is at an all time low
At least for the rest of my stay.I did not smell it...much. it was the residual
When I got to my room, the first thing I noticed is that the dead bolt didn't even work. The bed was very hard, so it made sleeping difficult. After being put into a different room, the bed was worse.
It is convenient to get to right off.The highway. It's nice to go back to a place that I've been at several times and having the same friendly reception.
Several times from being there, they finally give me a room that has a bed that isn't very hard. So it makes it easier to sleep on
It's an older style motel, but they are trying to update it.
Easy Hwy access & parking
Wall heater
It was less expensive than other hotels in the area.
The air conditioner was so loud, but when it was going, at least I couldn’t hear every foot fall of the suite above. The bed was way too soft for my liking.
We liked the location as it was close to an event we attended. The room was over all nice. They lady tried to her best to get the Direct TV working but unfortunetly, it was a lengthy process.
We didn't like not being able to watch TV. The whole reason we stayed was to avoid driving home during the night and be able to watch the 8am Vikings game. The lady called and tried for an hour to get it up and running but we already missed the first half of the game so we just left. When people reserve a room, they look at what's included. If something isn't working, honesty up-front would be appreciated. I would have rather taken my business elsewhere.
The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds were nice and comfortable. The bathroom had all the necessary toiletries and towels needed to freshen up. I had no problems with fridge, microwave, or TV. The motel had free wifi available to connect to. The TV and remote were easy to navigate. The motel stay was nice and quiet and I was able to get a good night's sleep. They also serve free continental breakfast in the mornings and have an ATM along with two vending machines in a hallway between the lobby/front entrance and the kitchen/dining breakfast area downstairs on first floor. I have stayed at bison plains multiple times before. I have never had any major complaints or negative experiences. I always felt satisfied with the motel rates and with the service provided by polite staff members. The motel is nicely decorated and the rooms are too. Parking is easy and right out front, so there's no long walking distance. It's a pretty nice, smaller sized motel which is located right on my way back home at the edge of Moorhead by Highway 75.
There was only one inconvenience that stuck out to me this time around. The door handle to my room was hard to open and I had to get staff to help me out at first with getting into the room. I tried getting out the next morning and had a hard time with the door handle once again, but eventually figured it out and got it open. I also think the motel might be short staffed, as there are signs thanking costumers for their patience, listed instructions as to dial a certain set of numbers on desk phone for immediate assistance, reassurance that staff will be available as soon as possible, thanking costumers for their patience and understanding, along with a noted apology for any inconveniences caused by waiting at times for a staff member to get back up into the front office desk.
