Überraschend gut – sauber, komfortabel und perfekte Lage

Wir waren ehrlich gesagt positiv überrascht von unserem Aufenthalt im Super 8 in Front Royal. Von außen und vom Konzept her ist es eher ein einfaches Durchgangshotel, aber gerade deshalb hat uns die Sauberkeit des Hotels besonders beeindruckt. Alles war ordentlich und gepflegt, und wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt.

Unser Zimmer war angenehm groß und komfortabel, die Betten waren bequem und wir konnten sehr gut schlafen. Auch das Frühstück war für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie absolut ausreichend und bot alles, was man für einen guten Start in den Tag braucht.

Ein besonderes Highlight für mich war natürlich die Pancake-Maschine – so etwas sieht man auch nicht jeden Tag! 😊

Sehr praktisch fanden wir außerdem die kostenlosen Parkplätze direkt am Hotel. Und die Lage ist wirklich ideal, wenn man die Reise durch die Blue Ridge Mountains und die Skyline Drive starten möchte.

Für einen unkomplizierten Zwischenstopp ist dieses Hotel eine wirklich gute Wahl. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten und können es absolut empfehlen!

Gross and not safe

The front desk gal did her job- greeted us and moved our room after finding the first door had been kicked in at some point and not repaired. The 2nd room seemed of smoke and just overall nastiness. The overall experience was top 3 of awful places we've stayed and the only one we've left after checking in. Do not stay there unless you are an adventurer or do not want to spend too much on accommodation.

The bed was ok, comfortable.

Cons:

We had two rooms, in both the tap didn’t work he had to brush the teeth and wash our hands in the bathtub. The room was ok-ish but not the cleanest.
Quite disappointed with breakfast, very basic, bread, butter, marmelade, no proteins, just sugar.

Prima Lage für den Start in den Shenandoah NP.
Pros:

Praktische Lage für einen Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg zum Shenandoah NP. Einfach aber funktional. Die Pancakes zum Frühstück waren prima.

I would pass this place by.
Pros:

Front desk service was kind and helpful (*excellent). Trip down hallway to room reeked of weed. A Non-smoking hotel (and I was reminded NOT to smoke). I have lung problems, so I wouldn't! The weed was coming under my door! I don't care if you wanna partake--but take your a$$ outside. Staff seemed oblivious and unable/unwilling to convince guests to stop. If you wanna Hot Box in Front Royal, here's your place. Otherwise head elsewhere.
