Clean, comfortable rooms, larger than most 'basic' motels but this is rural Iowa so things are automatically better! We travel a lot so now we have an 'A' list hotel for future use in NW Iowa!
the breakfast and outdated.
The location was fine. The beds were comfortable.
The sheets on the beds were stained. The room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The fitness room was very small. There is a pool but it is not in working order. There was a computer for hotel guests but it was out of order. The manager was not very professional. He complained about how many people were staying because it is never over half full. The breakfast didn't have much of anything available. You got the choice of waffles or raisin bran. It was WAY OVER PRICED!
Bathroom was not restocked with Kleenex and toilet paper. Mirrors were very dirty. View to the back of the hotel wasn’t too bad. The hotel staff needs improvement with their cleaning skills.
The room was spacious and clean. The price was excellent. The fellow who checked me in was very pleasant and I had a really nice chat with him. It was located very close to shopping, restaurants, and gas stations.

I was in Sheldon for an event and looking to save some money. I was not expecting the Ritz and feel that I got what I paid for when it came to this stay. The location seems to be on the edge of town, but nothing in Sheldon is further than a 6-10 minute drive and very easy to navigate. The parking was free, and I didn't worry about my car; it was visible from my room on the ground floor.
The room itself was basic: king bed, desk, task chair, a lounge chair I don't think I even sat in, a TV on the dresser, and a little bench by the mirror. the mirror placement looking over the bed was a little off putting to me, but otherwise fine. The bottom sheet seemed to have lost some of it's elasticity, so I pulled that off in the night (but it was fine; I do that at home too). Over all it was comfortable though and I didn't wake up the next morning with an aching back. There is also a fridge and a microwave, but note that you can only have 1 plugged in at a time (at least in the room I was in). Like many older hotels, there don't seem to be enough outlets, but the lamps did feature some USB hubs that made charging my phone, tablet, and smart watch a little easier.
The bathroom is definitely showing it's age; the sink was chipped and the toilet seemed to take longer than necessary to fill (and made lots of noise while doing so). There were no toiletries except for a single, open and used, bottle of shampoo. I would have appreciated a bar of hand soap at least, as that isn't something I generally pack with me.
The hotel itself is fairly quiet. It seemed to cater to an older crowd. I think I heard 1 family with kids as they were leaving on Sunday morning. I had no idea they were there otherwise. I never noticed the coming-and-goings of other guests while I was in my room, which was mostly in the evenings and early mornings.
I did not partake in breakfast, due to the nature of my visit, but it looked like basic hotel fare with the waffle machines, and so on.
Ultimately, could this hotel use some upgrades? Of course. But, the staff was very nice, the common areas were tidy, and the rooms were generally clean and --honestly, the beds were probably the most comfortable I've slept in at a Super 8 in quite awhile. I would stay here, if I'm ever in the area again.
Front desk nice guy. Location.
TV remote didn't work and asked for new batteries, nope. Faucet leeks. Pool unusable, ice machine didn't work and no ice. No cups in the room for coffee or water
Nothing
My friend is handicap I reserved a first floor room for him and his spouse, they told us none were available no elevator they put him on the second floor. My room was a sauna, it took me telling them I would stay but I wanted a full refund, for them to find me a room where the AC worked.

Smelled horrible, no room service, getting any toiletries for your room was absolutely difficult.
There was only one glass for drinking, shower curtain was moldy, water in sink was dripping, bedspread did not look clean, and breakfast was meager.
The room was very clean. Good location. Great parking spots. Great breakfast. Very quiet night for some good sleep.
We would have liked more attention from staff when in common areas. We needed the staff to check on us a bit more. The staff was very pleasant but only atound when we rang the bell. We would like them more hands-on and at the desk more for service.
We needed more towels and washcloths in room. Not enough for two people that showered twice during stay. Maybe next time?
the ice machine did not work .the pool was closed. the breakfast was very minimal in items. the towels in our room were very small and statned. the rooms were very clean.
Close to restaurants, and other amenities.
Wasn't clean, unchanged sheets. Found someones hair in between the sheets. Stains all over the furniture. Fridge was dirty. Bathroom was dirty. Floor tile loose in bathroom floor.
The owner or manager was rude and needs a lesson on how to yreat customers. He has bad customer service skills, not sure if that is how they treat each other in India but he was not polite.
