Pros:

We travel a lot. Evidently my husband didn’t read the reviews on this one. We were traveling to D C and stopped for the night. The mold/musty smell was overwhelming; I walked into the workout room and it smelled even worse. Smelled like cat pee. I should have walked in that hotel and walked right out. The people who prepared breakfast did a great job. It takes a lot to work that hard when the bar is set as low as it is for this hotel. This place needs to be reviewed by the Health Department.

Solid Hampton Inn Experience
Pros:

Hotel was nicely updated and was clean. The room we were in (214) was very humid and musty, and you could see that this was consistent as the interior of the room door showed water damage. Staff was friendly and breakfast was well stocked!

The location was good.

Cons:

The first room we had the deadbolt would not lock. The desk attendant was not very kind or sympathetic to the situation. She eventually moved us to another room after waiting on several other customers. The room was not clean. The bedding was stained on the bed skirt. The lamps are broken. The molding on several pieces of furniture was broken off. The carpeting was dirty. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone. Shame on Hilton.

SORRY HAMPTON INN, AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE

the carpets in the hallways are dirty and stained, the hallways and the room smelled, the carpet in the room was dirty and obviously had not been vacuumed as little bits of trash were under the desk and other places. the furniture was beat up, a door missing off one cabinet, two lamps were broken and the bed linens were dirty and stained.
