Super 8 by Wyndham Mt Hope Hamilton Intl Arpt ON

We parked here for two weeks at the beginning of our holiday (at an excellent rate compared to the Hamilton Airport) and stayed for one night upon returning as we had an early morning flight and didn't want to drive home in the winter weather in the wee hours.
The front receptionist was wonderful! So friendly and efficient and our check in was smooth (she was still there again in the morning with a smile and working a double shift!). The room was toasty warm, clean, and despite the rundown decor, was odorless and cozy!
It's too bad they don't just replace some of the furniture and curtains as it would really shift the vibe and overall impression. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful this is it.

No wifi available, pealing vinyl off furniture all over the floor, sliding door to outside rusted shut,

however close to airport.

I found Super 8 to be clean and quiet. Polite staff. The only problem is poor internet.

Toilet wouldn't flush, internet not connecting, mattress was worn out, thin sheets and pillows.

For medical reasons I was unable to make my trip and Super 8 Mount Hope would not refund my pre-paid reservation.

In bad need of renovation!

We had an early flight so decided to stay here as its only a.5 min drive from.the airport. The room was okay, i felt the area to be sketchy but only paid $100 for the room.

The price for the room and the fact that it is pet friendly is fantastic. The staff ensured we were on the ground floor so that we had access to a patio door from inside our room, which made it much easier to get our puppy in and out.
There was a lack of linen in the room. We required to ask for towels, which was provided with no concerns, and only the linen on the bed was in the room. We didnt ask for more as we managed with what we had, so it is unknown if they have extras or not. The internet was down for the entirety of our stay, it would have been nice to have gotten some sort of discount as it is expected to have internet when you book. For whatever reason, our phone service inside the hotel was horrible, that could simply be our phone provider is not good in the area. However, the hotel could benefit from getting a tower to strengthen the signal. Overall, we would stay there again if we knew we werent spending much time in our room and for a maximum of 2 nights, anything longer, we'd more than likely book somewhere else.

Staff were good. Facility was not well maintained. Poorly cleaned and linens and towels stained. Insufficient towels and facecloth (yes, one). Shower head partially plugged. Bathroom sink loose in counter. Cigarette burns in bed covers. A/C not cold.
Abandoned restaurant next door, parking lot full of potholes and exterior signs taped up.
I really don’t like to complain, but too many smaller things add up to bad experiences
Not impressed that Wyndham puts their name on this. It should be inspected and brought up to their higher standard by them, so the owners can present a quality product.

There are many areas of improvement. The rooms and furniture is old, outdated, and in poor condition. Some of the towels were clean, but gray instead of clean white. There was a smell on the bed linens . Only few items for breakfast. The parking lot was in poor condition.
The staff was friendly thought.

Not even enough food to call it a breakfast....

No card key given as machine was broken. Staff had to let us in and out of room. Toilet would barely flush. No security lock inside our room, only the dead bolt. Missing slider in the window. 2” centipede hanging on the wall, entire building is very run down, inside and out. Would not recommend, specially for the price paid.

No key cards availabl. clerk had to let us into room manually with their key. No coffee made in morning. Only oatmeal and granola bar available in morning?? Furniture pretty run down.

Proximity to the airport

Worst hotel ever. Rooms are run down. This place should be demolished. Wyndham should be ashamed to support businesses like this. Wrecked threadbare furniture, holes in the curtains, taps falling off. Positively awful.

Staff are Awesome !!! They go above and Beyond to make your stay Awesome !!!

Fast and friendly check in. The staff were great and very helpful. Place is very outdated, needs a lot of TLC. I wouldn't be going back.
