Paid nearly $300 for no elevator to the second floor, an unmade, unwashed bed, urine on the toilet seats, and trash from the last guest still in the room. Stay quite literally anywhere else.
In my opinion, the age of the hotel was apparent the minute we pulled in. The room had an odor and for the most part met our needs. To me the price for the room, $298, was out of touch with such a small town and the number of attractions in Buena Vista. The rooms and the lobby could stand some updating to balance the premium price.
We had a horrible experience with the managers. We had requested a late check out because the power had gone off in the morning. It was approved so we went out to run some errands and have breakfast. Check out was 1 pm. When we came back at 11:30 we found out the manager had gone into our room and approved it for the cleaning people to come in. We didn't even know if we had picked up all our stuff. We had wanted to go back and relax and shower before leaving. So they offered us a room. Anna - the manager didn't tell us for how long we had this room so we finished moving stuff that had a check out time and called to find out how long we had the room. The manager - a man this time was very very rude and told us initially we had to pay for a room and then when he talked to Anna to learn what the story was he came back and said it had only been until 1 pm and that they were NOT giving us anything complimentary. It was 4 pm when I called. We never got to go back but Anna did at least let us check the room at 11:30 to make sure we hadn't left anything. They were clearly in the wrong but had they communicated better and been nicer we might have gone back. Now we NEVER WILL GO BACK and we will make sure to let people know how rude they were. I have been to many Wyndham hotels - I'm a gold member in their rewards program - the previous managers at this location were very kind and made it so I went back. The new ones are horrible and the man was so rude. I wasn't asking for handouts - I was just frustrated because I wasn't even able to shower before checking out and then instead of fixing their mistake they made it worse. I would go to the Best Western or another motel in town. Super 8 has gone down the tubes.

Noise - our room was 208, right above the lobby and at 5:30 - 6:30 a.m. people were Very loud?? Waiting for breakfast I imagine!!
The door dead bolt would not lock as it would not engage with the door frame; a serous security issue. Two people in the room and only one chair to comfortably sit in. No soap dish for wet, used soap. The bed sheets smelled strongly of scent thus seriously interrupting sleep.

The room was clean and appeared recently updated. I did not find any hair, dirt, or stains. The rooms smelles clean. Everything was in working condition.
The hot tub was useful after I ran a trail marathon (I did shower before entering the hot tub, don't worry.)

Manager insanely started pounding on my door while my wife and I were mid 69 saying he could smell smoke coming from our room. We dont smoke. I told him repeatedly we were naked but he insisted we were smoking and needed to open the door now. So I had to throw a towel on with a full erection, make my wife hide in the bathroom so I could open the door for this moron. Only to get a half ass apology.
