They checked in our reservation to someone else so check in was a mess and room keys never worked.
I did not eat any of the food there. The overall condition of the property was rundown, and the rooms were in poor condition. The room had a terrible smell and I felt uncomfortable sleeping on the bed as things seemed dirty in general. Would not recommend staying here.
It is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Two of the rooms had bugs in the bed and we cancelled those rooms and 4 from our group went and found another hotel. In my opinion this place should be shut down until excessive cleaning and upgrades are made. I had 18 women from my church and it was very disheartening to me and the group. I will NEVER come back to this establishment. The only plus was Winston the desk clerk. He was very friendly and so apologetic. If the health department investigated it would be shut down NOW!
Winston was awesome and the hospitality was great
The hotel did not look like it did in the pictures online. Everything looked dirty, the smell was terrible! I asked for a refund and thankfully I was able to find another hotel at the last minute!
We checked out as soon as we saw the rooms. Dirty
Worst hotel experience ever!
When we arrive I told the lady I was checking in under my name and she said nooo we don’t have a reservation for you, I said yes I have the confirmation here, she then told me no again, she acted as if she wasn’t even going to check! She then searched me by my ID and found my reservation….. the Elevator was broken so we had to walk 3 flights to our room, the carpets were absolutely disgusting, the hallways smelt awful. The tv in the room did not work, along with the bathroom light and the light over the bed. We had absolutely no towels in our room. It was such a bad experience to have on the night of our wedding, definitely considering it was $150 for the night 😡
Although the check-in staff was super nice, the facility itself was truly terrible. We ended up checking out and leaving within an hour due to the horrible mold, mildew, rust, and dirt.
Our room was filthy, as was the rest of the hotel. We ended up booking another hotel and leaving.
When we entered our room it had a musty smell. The TV did not work because there was no direct tv box. Front desk said they had to wait for another room to check out so they could swap it out. We left for dinner and when we came back we noticed they had not installed it. I went to front desk and they handed me the box so I could install it myself. I was unable due to missing cables. At this point I noticed the door would not latch and the frame around the door was coming apart. I went to front desk so we could change out rooms. Again this other room also smelled musty. Doors on the side of the hotel don't close posing a security threat. The elevators was not working and the stairwells were filthy some stairs even covered with vomit. Management was indifferent to our concerns. Worst experience ever. We even spoke with two other couples that were checking out at the same time and they had just as bad of an experience.
The only nice things about our room were clean linens and a new lighted bathroom mirror. The black microwave door handle was repaired with white epoxy, an outlet plate was missing, the shower curtain was old, the bathroom doorknob was loose, the curtain had a big hole in it, the carpet had a big sticky spot. The hotel elevator was broken and the stairwells were greatly in need of vacuuming. The landscaping out front was full of cigarette butts. The front desk ladies were pleasant but not very available. We were glad to find a place to stay by Liberty University so we could see the footballl game, but we will avoid staying here in the future and caution others.
This hotel is old, dirty, uncomfortable, with bad customer service. There was a big blood stain on the rug. The room smells like smoke. The bed was uncomfortable and I got a backache from sleeping on it. The bathroom has a filthy bath chair, broken light, outlet hole and broken toilet paper dispenser. No towels or shampoo and nothing was done for us after we requested repeatedly. Breakfast has not much of anything. The gym was awful, 3 out of the 4 machines were broken and the door was busted. To say the least, we won't be coming back.
Property was very outdated, dirty room, smell, and had roaches. Room did not have nightstands nor lamps, location of the hotel is ideal for visiting family and friends of Liberty University. This can be a great hotel to stay at due to the location. Major renovations is highly and greatly needed.
This place is absolutely disgusting. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. No towels,no toilet paper, smelled awful, bad lighting, the man at the front desk was awful. When we told him about bugs in the room he tried to hand my son a can of bug spray. My ceiling was falling down the floor had weak spots the sink leaked the air condioner was loud. The elevator didnt work and we were on the 3rd floor. This place should be condemned.
I had a really bad experience starting at checkout, however I will say that the staff is very friendly and only tried their best. That said, moved rooms due to the first rooms condition and toilet issues. Second room wasn’t very clean as well, the second bed was broken. We didn’t have any towels too. I went to the local Walmart bought sheets, a blanket and towels for our stay and roughed it out. The cherry, I was awaken at 8 AM by Staff attempting to enter the room?? Why?? Don’t worry I asked and they said, “we thought you checked out .”
I packed up and left soon after.
A hole in the wall. The only reason I stayed there was due to the affordable rate. But should have known with affordable rates, it was going to be a dump. The elevator has been out of order for a year now. The thinnest bed linen with cigarette burnt stains and other stains that I assume couldn’t come out from washing the sheets. I was on the second floor and had to make several trips to grab my items, since the elevator is broken. I can tell ppl that is hard on their luck, are staying there, like it’s a home for them.
.
If we had not checked in so late at night we would have found another place to stay. The elevator did not work. Ok. The stairwell was covered in trash. First room was infested with bugs and had an odor. Second room had sheets and one set of towels. No blankets. We did not request any because the front desk staff was already agitated and we did not trust that there would be clean blankets. We slept in our sweatshirts. No one walked on the carpet without shoes. Never again.
Took a while for anyone to show at the front desk in the afternoon. Checked in and went to my room. The bottom of the bathtub was completely covered with 1 inch hair where somebody was given a hair cut. There was an empty condom wrapper on the floor next to the bed. Only one towel left in the bathroom. The tv did not work. The coffee maker was missing the basket and the pot. Etc, etc,etc....
We do NOT recommend Super 8 in Lynchburg!!
We had to check in a little later to our room because we had been working, it was about 11pm. The room I had originally booked online they no longer had, so they gave us a different room, which was fine, no big deal. But when we got to the room, there were NO towels, NO blankets on the beds, just sheets (and they had stains & hair on them), a couple sheets of toilet paper left on the roll, trash on the bathroom floor, used q-tips on the floor and in the window sill. The TV was on when we walked in and things were just not clean or tidy, it felt like someone had been taking their lunch break in the room or something. My husband went to the front desk to ask for towels and blankets, they didn’t have any!! So the girl pulled out some sheets from somewhere and said here you go. With that my husband asked if we could be moved to a different room or get a discount on our stay, the girl said they don’t give discounts and if we want a refund we need to leave. We had booked this several days before and had tried every other hotel in the area, but every other hotel was booked, so there was no other place for us to go!!
It as a really bad experience and a very bad nights sleep!
