The staff was accommodating and it was very close to the venue where we were attending a wedding.
We check in a couple minutes before midnight just to sleep. It us a dated hotel. It could be a bit more tidy. Bathroom toilet quite short, and honestly, the bathroom need updated. The fre breakfast is minimal. Coffee, 2 kinds of cold cereal, and small prepackaged muffins. No in room cofee maker. There is a refrigerator and microwave, but we didnot use either.
It was fine for what we needed and priced okay.
Loved the Dew Drop Inn Restaurant next door!!! The motel was a standard "Super 8". Safe and convenient area.
Beds and bathroom were okay but The curtains were very dusty. Room was spacious, staff was nice. But nothing much in breakfast and milk was expired.
Breakfast selection was bad.
There was nothing here to make me want to return. Perhaps the corn and windmills and they are quite beautiful. The tub/shower was stained and smelled moldy. The floor in the bedroom was in need of vacuuming there was a burnt out light bulb on the night stand. To top it all the TV didn’t work!
Out of the hotels during our trip this was the best. Clean, friendly and quiet
Arrived a couple of hours early and was allowed to check in. Also needed to meet with family about an hour after check-out and was told to keep the room until they arrived. Very friendly and accommodating.
Very easy and simple check in, good parking with a door close to my room, easy access to the second floor from outside, close and walkable shops and restaurants nearby.
The room was clean enough but not overly so. Hallway had that old apartment/motel stale smell.
Arrived after ten but was not a problem. Room was clean and comfortable.
Very poor odor throughout Room showed its age. Very dirty bathroom
Room was clean. Good lication for our overnight stay while traveling. Reasonably priced. Walking distance to convenient stores and a nice restaurant. Motel offered cereal and muffins for breakfast.
smelled weird
The rooms are very outdated but clean. No “extras” such as charging ports for electronics. Very basic. Reminds me of the 1970s hotel rooms we had on family vacations
For a 2 star hotel, it was average. There’s a strong musty smell in the hallway, less or so in the room. Ice machine was out of order. Breakfast was cold cereal and hard boiled eggs only. Coffee was OK but no juice offered.
Expectations were not high, I’ll start off there - but we were attending a wedding in Adair and the hotel was conveniently 4 minutes from the venue. Opted for that convenience, however, everything that has followed as a result has been nothing but an inconvenience. Room was dirty, dust on almost every surface, stained carpets, broken toilet lid, AC/heater did not work, but I figured it’s fine - it’s just a night. After returning to the hotel after the wedding reception we got into our pajamas and got into bed. As I was scrolling on my phone in bed I saw a bug crawl across the blanket on my chest - immediately leaped out of bed, told my daughter to get out of bed, and after finding the bug and taking a picture, then googling what bed bugs look like, we packed up our things and were gone. Now I’m washing every piece of clothing we packed with us, vacuuming out luggage and my car, and feeling like I’d rather set everything on fire because I’m so disgusted. I called the front desk this morning to notify them and was told they would “Check it out”. Based off of their reaction and lack of apology, I’m fairly certain this is just par for the course here. Do yourself a favor and drive to Stuart or West Des Moines if you’re needing a hotel near Adair. I promise you the convenience of it being close is NOT worth it!
at check in, i was tokd that we didn’t get the senior discount that i thought i selected when reserving. sink was clogged and took extreme long to drain
Location, clean, affordable, great restaurant close by.
