Great location. Room had everything we needed
Dirt, old.
Positives: modern lobby, spacious suite room w/ obvious updates, staff friendly. Negatives: unable to check us in on time, offered 20% discount but not given at checkout as said manager would take care of later, my friend and I both fell from chairs breaking in the room as they were falling apart, asked for room to be serviced one day and didn’t so took down trash myself and got fresh towels the 4 days we were there. My cousin got call from mgr and told her she could checkout for cursing at her staff and then realized she called wrong person. My cousin’s room had to be recleaned upon checkin as hair everywhere and sliding door wouldn’t lock. Website says free breakfast offered and half time no coffee and it was a few pastries and apples left out. While in lobby, Staff on phone with other complaints from guests. Not within easy walking distance of shopping as edge of town and on highway.
It is a small and quiet place near town. Loved the vibe.
Helpful staff
After first day staff disapeared. We were left alone on site except for a fill in worker who knew nothing about property and had no access to anything. No coffee, breakfast area worker disappeared leaving only stale, old food. Shower soap empty. No one to ask for more. Front desk staff completely disappeared. No explanations no appologies. We were left to fend for ourselves. Had to buy breakfast off site. Terrible stay, felt cheated
I didn’t enjoy my stay as much as I had anticipated. The room was not very clean, there was no housekeeping (had to walk to the reception to ask for toilet paper), and the walls are very thin. A woman next door had a fight with her partner and I didn’t sleep all night. After 11 pm there is no night manager on property. They refer to a sister property 1 mile away, but nobody answered the phone there. I wouldn't stay here again.
I love the coffee pot and large walkin shower.
Too noisy. The wall and ceiling are too thin. Bathroom handle is loose and bed lamp doesn’t work.
Clean, updated room. Friendly staff, convenient location
The room itself was ok, clean but could be bigger. We stayed 4 nights and even after asking , they never came to take out our garbage or turndown service. A free light breakfast was advertised however, the next morning not only was there no breakfast, coffee or water but the office was closed. Hours open at 0700 and it was 0707, there were about 4 other couples there waiting as well. We had to call the office number and they admitted that the last couple of days, they morning person was late. We had a wedding in the town so had about 5 rooms rented and we all had the same experience. Honestly juts too expensive for the service. I did appreciate staff members helping as much as they could as it was management that has not placed order for breakfast. Needless to say, we stopped expecting breakfast there and gad to go out.
I had reserved a room a couple weeks in advance. Stated check in time was 4 pm. At 4 pm. I wanted to check in. I was told there were no rooms available. I said I had a reservation. Desk clerk said the rooms weren't ready and she would place me in the "queue" for availability. I said that was not acceptable. I asked for a cancellation, but was told I'd have to wait until 4pm. They said a room would be ready "soon". I said i had a reservation for 4pm check in. Not "soon". A manager (I think) finally canceled my reservation, but with a very poor attitude. She said there would be no charge. Well, duh! If they don't have a room, I wont pay!
Room was clean and beds were comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. Rooms have a small mini fridge, but it would be nice to have a microwave also. The air conditioners were the typical noisy units that cycle on and off all night but if you wear earplugs, it’s not a problem. We weren’t expecting breakfast because I don’t think it was listed in the property description but when we checked in, we were informed that it would be at 7 AM and there was a little list of the food that would be available… granola, yogurt, muffins, coffee, and water. Two of the days we were there no one had shown up by 7:15 which was an issue for us since we had to get into the park before 9:00 since we were lacking a timed entry for that day. We weren’t using room service and had run out of the instant coffee they provided. I tried to get some from the front desk, but the the girl there said she didn’t have any… I think she just didn’t want to get up and go look for some . They have a sister property close by that you can get 10% off dinner and free s’mores around the campfire. The restaurant there was fairly small but had a nice bar and the fish tacos we got were amazing.
I would stay here again, but I’m not too picky about things.
I did not have made service every day. Morning man who put out breakfast was rude. They didn’t have a laundry bag, or tote to purchase.
The room was clean but very stark. Nothing that made it feel cozy or warm. The flooring was cold; the room could use some carpet or a rug. The main problem we had, though, was that we could hear lots of noise from the room above us, both late at night when we were trying to sleep and early in the morning (it woke us up). Such a bummer!
What I expected.
It was fine, but with so many options in Estes Park, I also don't see a reason to go back. I feel like the "vibe" is meant to distract from the landlord special paint job, weird stains on the ceiling, mold in the bathroom, and paper thin walls/ceiling.
Two properties with the same name also makes navigating a little confusing. Tried to check into the other Trailborn first.
While the bed was very comfy & the location was decent, only stay here if you want to be woken up by other folks going between their hotel room & cars starting at 3am… There is very minimal sound barrier so you’ll hear every door slam, car beep, conversation, etc. We stayed for two nights & felt like zombies by the time we got home. Good option if you’ll be waking up very early for your adventures.
This is a motel- the pictures might make it look trendy because it has been slightly remodeled, but this is a motel. Check-in was at 4 pm. I received THREE separate messages ensuring that I knew it was at 4 pm. We arrived at 3:50 pm and were told our room wouldn’t be ready for another 40-45 mins- we got to our room at 4:48, meaning it took an entire hour. We were given a complimentary breakfast at their nearby sister hotel as an apology. The doors to the rooms lead directly outside, meaning if we wanted to lay in bed and look at the view of the mountains, we also had to watch other guests walking by and looking in our window. I have never stayed in a hotel or air bnb with no hair dryer- they didn’t have one. The water in the shower had to run for 7-8 full minutes to get hot. The internet on the tv didn’t work, which meant no Netflix or prime video as advertised. When we went to check out at 6:50 am, there was no one at the front desk or anywhere around the lobby and the lights were off with a locked door (despite them claiming they serve breakfast beginning at 7 am). We waited until 7:05 am, and because the lights were still off and no one was there, we had to leave without checking out to not risk missing our flight home. We tried calling the phone number to let them know we’d like to check out, but it was an automated menu and not a real person. Only positive was the proximity to shops and RMNP, which many other places nearby have. I do not recommend this hotel.
The room was clean. The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable and the breakfast was minimal.
Not worth the cost of the room.
