We stayed at the Avalon house and had read reviews, not knowing fully what to expect. Yes, the rooms are smaller, however we had a king bed that was so comfortable, great sleep was had after a full day. The shower did have lower water pressure but it rinsed the conditioner out of my hair, so all good in my book! Water temperature was fine. This also includes daily breakfast, which was delicious!Kudos to the chefs preparing the omelettes and eggs!! Many pools to choose from depending on your needs, live music or quiet. No problems or complaints with the staff, very accommodating. Manage your expectations and enjoy your surroundings.
What a great location for a stay at Key West.
We have stayed there for several years and always enjoy our stay.
However, it is time for a face lift and a little scrubbing.
The restroom at the Beach Cafe, management really, just take a look.
How do I possibly describe this resort? I truly had the best experience of my life. I came here four short days ago with my friends for spring break. I thought it would be a fun time, but it was so much more than that. The staff was not just helpful, but so kind and welcoming: Christopher at the beach, Constantine at the bar, Laura and Amy at trivia, and so many more! There were so many activities and opportunities to take advantage of with a vip butterfly tour at a heavily discounted price, the Wednesday night trivia, the djs, and three pools! It never felt too crowded which is very rare for a beach resort in my experience. The dining options were the perfect amount of basic and fresh to satisfy a group with differing tastes - the watermelon burrata salad was amazing. Not only was the staff lovely, but the guests were, too! Every day, I met someone new who was kind and made me feel at home even when myself and my group were some of the youngest at the resort. Be kind and respectful to those around you and you will receive that in return!! If you are thinking of going to key west, DO IT; and, if you do, stay here!
My friends and I had the BEST time here on our senior college spring break. Wednesday night trivia with Amy is a MUST, she is amazing along with every employee we have encountered here. From Christopher on the beach to Constantine at the bar to the VIP butterfly tour, every experience here is the best. It’s a close walk to the beach, duval street, and everything you need to have the best time. Every guest additionally made us feel as welcome as the staff and made this resort feel like home! The best place to stay for a Key West trip!
Pros - Our room was clean and the view was spectacular !! The rest not so much …. The phone in our room didn’t work so getting any type of info was impossible - it was a 1/2 mile hike to front desk - and for what we paid not having access to a pool chair because they give people day passes to come and use the pool and drink at the bar to me was kind of annoying… and the regular beach is open to the public….. Food at outdoor cafe was yummy …if this was resort was a third of the price all these things wouldn’t be an issue but when you’re paying over $1000 a night you expect perfection… all that being said the staff was exemplary, friendly, kind, and one day out at the pool bar near the lobby they had the best blues reggae trio playing so I’d have to give their entertainment 10 out of 10.
The hotel is split over a large area so you won't be able to park near the room until you know your room number. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. Our room was on the second floor and.as there are no elevators so you will need a bell boy if like us you have heavy luggage. The room was a good size. We stayed for three nights and it was difficult to get hot water during our stay. We did report this but it was never resolved. There are a couple of pools. The tranquility pool is adults only and does not have loud music, just loud guests! The hotel is well located at the end of Duval Street. Also near a tram stop for the hop on hop off service. We enjoyed our stay here.
We had a great experience at the hotel. Perfect location to all the activities. Bonus was the nice Beach. Chris the beach manager was very helpful and couldn’t be any accommodating with chairs etc.
Casey and Amy are the most entertaining
They keep ing laughing and engaged.
Great fun at their events.
This was our third time staying at the Southernmost. The pools and bars are great-a lot of activities and fun music. Definitely geared towards adults. Easy walk to anywhere!
We took the Quick Historic Key West walking tour with Anne this morning. She was full of information we never would have found out about! It was a great tour included with our stay! Highly recommended!
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Southernmost Beach Resort, and a huge part of that was due to Annette, the manager. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional. Due to handicap issues we were pleasantly surprised with a generous room upgrade, which made our stay even more memorable.
Annette was incredibly attentive and always available to answer any questions we had. She provided us with excellent food recommendations, and every place we tried was delicious! It’s clear she takes great pride in making sure guests have an unforgettable stay.
Her personal touch truly elevated our trip, and we can’t wait to return. Southernmost Beach Resort is lucky to have someone like Annette leading the team. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top tier experience!
Think carefully about whether to stay here. The location is awesome and the best part of this place. The resort and rooms do not have the quality I have encountered at other resorts charging $1000 plus a night. The resort is a combination of multiple properties purchased and managed by a corporation who is clearly trying to maximize profits. Nearly every square foot of the property is used for rooms and parking. The front desk area for check in/check out is tiny and the staff are overwhelmed by the amount of guests coming and going. There is no common area in the shade to sit and relax or chat with others so not a great place for a group trip. There are not enough lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas for shade around the pools or on the private beach area. The one restaurant is on the public beach and descent but not remarkable. Room walls and doors are thin so you hear the roosters crowing starting at 6am, I could hear the man in the bed on the other side of the wall snoring, and could hear the delivery trucks and taxis and mopeds at all hours.Bring ear plugs. I would say do not book through AirBnB except it was the AirBnB customer support team that advocated for me to get a partial refund when the room I reserved was not provided. (I reserved a two queen, luxury room, partial-ocean view, private balcony at $1400 a night). There are only a few rooms with a full or partial-ocean view so if you really want that, be sure to get it in writing and confirm before arrival so there are no disappointments.
We had such high expectations for this resort. We stayed at Duvall House two years ago and decided to “upgrade” to Southernmost Point Resort. For the nightly cost, I didn’t expect a musty room on the ground floor looking at a parking lot. Very disappointing. I called reception and the woman there was very friendly but said they are at 100% occupancy and cannot switch our room. It is so frustrating that we could have stayed at the Duvall house again for much less money and that included breakfast and it is a beautiful property. The pools here are overcrowded and the space around each pool is very tight. On a positive note the beach view is beautiful and we are very close to the airport. Everyone seems very nice. Took a chance on this and it didn’t work in our favor.
My husband stayed at Southernmost Beach Resort for Valentines Day weekend. I was so impressed with this resort. The room was BEAUTIFUL and super clean. It had all of the amenities I could hope for. We received text messages with events happening at the resort each day that included lots of LIVE MUSIC and even a Reggae Festival. All of the staff were fabulous and very helpful. It was located right on the ocean at the Southernmost Point of the USA. Price is within reason - it all depends on the room you choose. I loved the atmosphere and vibe this resort gave us. I would definitely stay there again!
We stay here every FEB and sometimes in between - while it’s a great property and location for sure, the best part of Southernmost are the amazing people who work there including Chevanee - she checked us in and started our trip off perfectly after a rough, delayed trip to Key West. She helped us during the week with a couple of things that could have impacted our experience but she made them go away. She was exceptional. I also want to highlight Ashleigh and Anastasia at the seaside restaurant. They’ve been at the resort for several years and make each morning at breakfast perfect. We had another great week in Key West and it was in no small part to Chevanee, Ashleigh and Anastasia!
We started off at the Guesthouses (Avalon) which includes free breakfast with this package. Room was way too small tiny for us and requested a larger room. With the help of Sara at the front desk, we were upgraded to a wonderful ocean view room two days later. The room was much bigger, everything worked, the room had a large balcony where we could see the ocean and sit outside at night listening to the waves
A beautiful location. The only glitch we had was taken care of by Chevanee at check in. She was extremely helpful. We would definitely come back again.
I’m staying at the hotel and went to the beach, Christopher mange’s the chairs and towels- if this resort is anything like this guy, this is my new spot. I usually stay at the Waldorf property casa marina, but this could be the place! Kudos to Christopher for being an amazing ambassador of this brand and property
Annette provided exceptional customer service during our check-in process. She was extremely friendly and helpful and set a positive tone for our entire stay at the resort.
This property was very disappointing. It was not luxury at all, and a 3 star motel at best. Would not recommend for the price.
