Ich hatte mir mehr von diesem Modell erwartet… eins der schlechteren Hotels in Köln. Leider!

Der Rheinblick…

Cons:

Das Zimmer hat bei der Ankunft circa 35°, nicht einmal gelüftet… Ein Komfort Zimmer mit circa 10 m² stell ich mir anders vor. Insgesamt 180 € inklusive einem unterdurchschnittlich im Frühstück (Auswahl an Aufschnitt, Brot und Brötchen ließen absolut zu wünschen übrig). Insgesamt enttäuschend.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt
Pros:

Die Lage war optimal.
Fussläufig alles sehr gut zu erreichen und durchgehend am Rhein zu laufen. Super schön!
Nicht laut, da es etwas ausserhalb liegt. 5 Minuten von der Gondel entfernt:)

Cons:

Eigentlich nichts!

I suspect this is quite a nice hotel during the cooler months. Avoid during the middle of summer.
Pros:

This a very nice older hotel, BUT we were there during the summer and it is simply not designed with 30 plus temperatures in mind (it was closer to 40 during the day when we were there). Possibly the least enjoyable night of my life in a hotel... It is worth mentioning that the very nice young lady at reception was as helpful as she could be and was clearly stressed by the heat in reception herself. This hotel in normal weather would probably be fine but I can only review how it was when we were there. My guess it was 30 plus degrees in the room well into the early hours. There was a desk fan and I soaked a towel and put my head on that to survive the night. Charging for a room under these circumstances seems somewhat ridiculous but no compensation was offered. So if thinking of booking I would avoid June through August unless you can specifically book an upper floor room (7 and above apparently) which are air conditioned. I rather suspect based on the age of the building that this air conditioning would not have been adequate when we visited though.

Cons:

Lack of air con and probably too many flies on the breakfast buffet.
