Price
Food cold, bath white scum around, paint cracked on every wall, smelt of smoke. 0 atmosphere.
Not as advertised compared to website very dated. No food available after 9pm and no room service at all.
Window did not close fully so hears traffic all night.
Hairdryer broken , bathroom was surface clean but not deep cleaned.
Bed was very uncomfortable.
Embarrassing waited 55 minutes for the sheets for the bed after being at work all day
Everything
Large car park
Room 104 was disgustingly filthy, had to ask to be moved. Sofa was so dirty I would not put an animal on it. Asked to be moved and put in a smaller room but at least it was cleanish. Emailed hotel twice after stay but still no reply. Phoned up 4 times and surprisingly manager not available
Swimming pool. Bar and breakfast very good.
Kitchen closes too early..
Breakfast was good location easy to find
It was all ok in a number of years time the hotel will need a upgrade.
Good location and parking good
Spar very disappointing, one of the main reasons booked this hotel, needs a big overhaul, waterfall not working as shown in photos, was told not been working for years!
The parking was easy. The staff were friendly.
I had to change rooms several times. Should rename it Bates Motel.
1st impressions from the outside, keep driving.
The reception area was clean and welcoming, however, lulled you into a false sense of security.
The rooms were dirty, with miss-matched furniture.
The coils were poking up out of the beds, the windows would not shut. The carpets were filthy.
The rooms were dark and dated and the sofa looked like it had seen some action.
The remote control was dirty.... eurgh....
Breakfast was interesting, the cereal was in wooden bowls and open to cross contamination.
The coffee and tea was just in containers with a water urn.
For the price i paid £80 utterly dissatisfied.
I would not recommend staying here, find somewhere else. I will be writing to the hotel.
As for the Spa, and Pool. Let's just say.. after reading the reviews I decided that Legionnaires was not something I fancied getting.
Location close to office
Hotel was dated, staff weren't focused on hospitality. Hotel was dirty. When I entered my room there was water leaking through bathroom ceiling. Was upgraded to a suite which was nice. Receptionist was really sweet but had dirt under her finger nails. Food in the bar was decent and it was very busy. Needed more staff.
Decided to book this Hotel, due to train problems. Booked before leaving train l was travelling on. Within 20 minutes, l arrived at Hotel, by taxi. Lovely lady on reception, made check in easy, and arranged taxi for following morning. Had a lovely evening meal, couple of drinks. Had a quiet room at end of corridor, all good. Nice breakfast the following morning.
The Hotel is nice, cherry wood surround throughout. I would recommend to others.
Spa facilities were all working well e.g. swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam & sauna. Hotel was lovely and quiet, staff pleasant. The library bar was quiet you can have a quiet meal & drink or read books. The chief came and wrote down all my cousins intolerances, and prepared a lovely seabass meal. It was awesome 👌
We booked the executive double room we didn't like it too small, and smelled, exchanged it for the ambassador suite it was pleasant clean & tidy, bath & shower in the room, nice and warm in the room. Carpet had a big iron mark on it curtains & furniture can be updated
Pool. Books
Breakfast not great. Reception staff booked us in a room not ready, then gave us wrong key card, then next key card didnt work. Spent a lot of time back and forth to reception , no apology.
