The Rockley by Ocean Hotels

Hi everyone.
For those of you who are coming to the Rockley by Ocean Hotels in Barbados will not be disappointed. This is our 3rd visit currently still here. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and exceptionally helpful. You pay decent money to get here but you take a lot more out of the island when you leave which money can't buy.
The Rockley is well situated and transport links are brilliant. 100% you'll want to come back.

The location is perfect especially for those without their own transport, Pool, beach , food and shopping very close by. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean. No problem with noise, enjoyed the Karaoke Great pool and beach opposite the hotel was great.

So just been for a fabulous 12 night stay in the ROCKLEY. From the moment we walked in until leaving to go home we were looked after by a great team. We were met by Troy, he welcomed us and sorted out the check in. At our room there was a lovely display to mark our 40th wedding anniversary, including complimentary drinks and food platter. Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable with our balcony overlooking the pool and beach. During our stay, staff organised the trips we wanted to do, making it simple for us. The hotel restaurant provided a good breakfast, and a varied menu at lunch and evenings which also could be ordered in the bar. Once again really friendly and helpful staff. Some events were organised in the bar area which always had good atmosphere. All in all, a really good place to stay, some excellent restaurants such as Champers and Tapas just a few minutes walk away as well as a variety of food courts and other facilities close by. If you prefer the beach to the pool, just cross the road. If you want to get out and about, try the local buses at $3.50 Bbd a ride. Give this place a try, if you want a great friendly place to stay, not a corporate style chain hotel. Once again, a big thank you to all of friendly smiling staff who always had a minute to chat with you.

We’ve just returned from the most wonderful stay at The Rockley, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The staff are absolutely exceptional – warm, friendly, and always happy to help with anything at all. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their genuine kindness really made our stay extra special.

Our room was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable.  The whole hotel has such a calm, stylish feel, and everything is kept to such a high standard.

The location is ideal too close to everything you could need. We loved spending time by the pool, soaking up the sunshine, and just enjoying the lovely atmosphere.

It was such a special trip for me and my daughter, and The Rockley made it truly memorable. We’ve come home with the happiest memories and would return in a heartbeat.

Great location , pool is very nice and the bar as well.

The location of the hotel is excellent - close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The staff overall are outstanding - very friendly and helpful, ready to assist in any way. The rooms, although a bit dated, are spacious and very clean. Housekeeping was very good. The breakfast buffet was just OK, not our favorite thing at the hotel, but other meals and drinks were good. Activities were fun. We did the island tour with Troy and truly enjoyed it. The hotel is lively during the day/evening but quieted down nicely at night. We loved that they have there own chairs/umbrellas at the beach, and rarely did people monopolize the loungers at the pool. We always found a space. We felt the hotel is great value for money spent and would recommend.

Great place to stay with easy access to other parts of the island. Helpful staff and lovely rooms. Beautiful swimming pool at the front of the hotel and beach just across the road, walking distance to st Lawrence Gap, and Worthing. Good bus service and ZR ‘ reggae buses’. Lovely Tiki bar on the beach. Breakfast was really good. We would happily return.

The Rockley is located in a good area just opposite the beach and near restaurants and shops. Great staff and in general a good hotel. Appreciated all the little extras in our room for our honeymoon. ❤️

Lovely hotel, beach just across road with complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas.
Rooms are huge and everything you need in them including toiletries.
Not a huge choice for breakfast but food menu was very good.
Pool lovely and great for kids.

Our stay was very good. The location is perfect just a min from the beach. The room was very big and had everything we needed, just the bathroom needs to be refurbished. We love the pool area and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was tasty, we loved their pumpkins fritters :D

Large comfortable room. Located just across from the beach. Complimentary sun beds and brolly at the beach. Staff are all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, although choice is quite limited. We had tapas menu in the evening a couple of times and it was excellent. There are local authority buses and the private mini buses passing the hotel throughout the day, going to Oistins in one direction and Bridgetown and beyond in the other direction. Restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Rockley is a great value for money hotel in a location that provides a great base from which to enjoy ( and if you wish to ) explore much of the island with an example being that Champers and the Tiki bar less than a 5 minute walk and several more great restaurants and bars in easy walking.Pebble Beach with its skimming horses and Carlisle Bay 10 min bus or taxi ride and can be walked

The hotel team a super helpful and can and will advise on any questions and provide detailed knowledge where needed

The Board walk is easy to get to from hotel and offers a lovely walk up towards Hasting but be mindful parts can be dark later at night so we used our phone torch where needed

Supermarket and food court 1 minute walk

Taxi rank and bus stops facing hotel are both super convenient

2 free sun beds and umbrella on Rockley Beach are included per room and the beach is beautiful with toilets and fantastic food shacks literally 1 minute across the road

Rooms are well set out and spacious and you will love your stay here

We've just returned from a Marella cruise followed by a week at The Rockley. The hotel room was spacious and kept spotless by the staff. The staff were friendly and we booked their island tour with Troy. Troy was an excellent guide and made the tour both interesting and enjoyable. The beach is just across the road and it was nice & quiet with free sunbeds & parasols provided by the hotel. The food at the hotel was nice and there a a number of restaurants within walking or short bus/taxi distance.
My one suggestion would be to raise the footbridge across the pool by a few inches - this would make it easier to swim a full length.

Hotel is a very small (Just how we like it) and has everything you need. Staff very nice, Rooms spacious and clean, beds comfy, Kitchen is fully supplied with plates,silverwear, pots & pans, etc. No noise during the night. Location is absolutely perfect. Towels are given at the front desk with beach cards for the loungers across the street. Walter and Randy are wonderful at the beach. Restaurants are minutes away walking distance, or have fun in the local bus for just a few dollars! I highly recommend

We have just spent the last 9 nights at The Rockley. It is a great boutique hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was like staying in a condo. The beach and location is perfect. Easy access to everything. The pool area is kept immaculately with plenty of comfortable loungers. It is a nice quiet place to stay. Troy and the team were welcoming and friendly. Thanks for a beautiful Barbados vacation!
I would highly recommend this hotel if you like a smaller boutique hotel experience.

We had a perfect stay at The Rockley! The staff is very friendly and helpful, doesn’t matter if it’s the frontdesk or the restaurant all are very nice.
The rooms are comfortable and the food and drinks are great! The beach is also nice across the street, with towels and chairs from the hotel. We will definitely come back.

This hotel cannot be faulted! Staff are all amazing and always there to help/advise with a smile. Rooms are large and maybe due updating/re-decorating but that's not a real criticism. Great vale for money in a fantastic location, straight accross the road from gorgeouse Rockley beach and in anideal place to expore the island.

Our second time at this hotel, we came back because the first time was so good. The staff are fantastic, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is kept very clean and it is very well located, just over the road from the lovely Rockley Beach and close to bus stops to Bridgetown and Oistins.
We enjoyed the island tour with Troy and Dedreia, as well as the rum tour /tasting, both trips organised by the hotel.
Not much else to add that hasn't already been written by other guests!
We hope to come back again.
