The Rockley by Ocean Hotels - Breakfast Included

We have just returned from a brilliant 2 weeks at The Rockley. The room was very spacious and perfect for us with our teenage son as the separate lounge area with a sofa bed was perfect for all all to have some privacy. The bathroom was large, modern and very clean. The aircon and fans worked a treat and the view over the pool and out to the beach over the road from the balcony was lovely.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty everyday, the bar served great drinks and the all day menu was also very good.

The location was great with lots of restaurants and bars within an easy walk so eating out at different places each evening was so easy to do.

What really made our stay though was the staff, every single person was warm and welcoming and could not do enough for us. Our son in particular loved chatting to the staff and everyone took time daily to speak to him, he made so many friends and was treated like part of the family.

I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone thinking about a stay in Barbados.

The only thing we would have changed if we could was that the hotel also had a bar on the beach, vouchers for sunbeds were included and the beach was beautiful but it is across the road from the hotel and there are limited facilities there, if the hotel had a facility to serve food and drink there then I’m sure many people would have taken advantage of the service.

I stayed here with my two young adult daughters in a 2 bedroom apartment for around 10 nights. It’s a fabulous hotel in a great spot, just across the road from Rockley Beach. It was exactly what I wanted/expected - clean, functional, with exceptional service.

Our room was huge, spotlessly clean (housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay, so friendly too). The beds were really comfy. The kitchen was really well equipped. I loved that there was always ample (and good!) shampoo, conditioner & body wash. Bonus of having free washing/drying facilities on each floor.

The pool area is pleasant, if a little tight. We never had issues getting sunbeds, although of course we were there out of season. You could get fresh towels from reception whenever you wanted. The beach was just across the road, and you could get vouchers from reception to use the sunbeds there.

Breakfast was fine. I loved that tea/coffee were always brought over so quickly! There were usually 4/5 hot options, plus basic fruits, cereals, cakes, etc. We only had a few snacks from the bar during our stay, but these were all tasty. The bar & waiting staff were all lovely & drinks were good!

Two things make The Rockley standout - one is the location. So much is right outside, walkable - to Champers, Tapas, etc., or hop on a bus/taxi if you want to go further afield. Secondly, the staff are incredible. Troy of course, but Zion on reception was brilliant. Nathan at the bar. Everyone!

Our recent vacation to Barbados was truly wonderful, and our stay at the Rockley Hotel made the experience even more memorable. The entire staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and hospitable.

Although we checked in nearly six hours after our arrival, we were graciously received by a delightful young lady who escorted us to our room and clearly explained everything we needed to know. Her kindness and professionalism immediately made us feel at home.

Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast accompanied by lovely music, creating a relaxing and enjoyable start to the day. The Rockley Hotel’s close proximity to the beach, shopping, and restaurants made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable.

We also appreciated the ease of getting around the island with the readily available transportation. Above all, the warmth and friendliness of the people of Barbados, along with the outstanding hospitality of the Rockley Hotel staff, made our vacation an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend the Rockley Hotel to anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and genuine Caribbean hospitality.

The Rockley was a perfect choice for our first trip to Barbados as it placed us in the middle of the action. I loved the artsy vibe and the rooms were large and very nice. We had a beautiful ocean and pool view. The staff were superb, welcoming and Accomodating. The free breakfast, drinks, food and pool were GREAT! Rockley beach was beautiful and the free beach chair access was a bonus. I truly have nothing negative to say other than silly things like wishing they had branded merchandise for purchase and cuter beach towels for our use. Troy is a great guy who accommodated our every whim! Highly recommend!

Great location, great staff, great food, great drinks, great wifi strength. Beach across the street is beautiful. The plaza next to the hotel has restaurants, stores, a market, a smoothie shop, a coffee shop...among other things. There's a duty free store within walking distance. This hotel is in a great location. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and great sizes. Loved it here and would definitely return.

The Rockley hotel is in a great location and you can easily hop on a local bus and head up to Holetown, Bridgetown, Carlisle Bay and Oistins. Nice beach and sun loungers across the road from the hotel.
Rooms were spacious and had a kitchenette.
A nice relaxed atmosphere and good value.
The highlight for us were the staff, arranged rental car, activities, made great omelettes and served tasty cocktails.

We stayed for 10 nights and had a great time. Troy and all his staff were excellent. We all loved the breakfast especially the omelettes. Hot chocolate also and staff always looking to help. Locals come in for karaoke on Sundays and all are v friendly and gives you a more cultured holiday.
We done the island tour with Troy with nice strong rum, we also rented a car for a day which was excellent value and very easy to drive. Thanks all

We had such a great stay at The Rockley Hotel. We travelled as a family and had two suites, both of which were extremely comfortable, clean and had everything we needed.

A special mention has to go to Troy, who is an absolute legend in every sense. He, along with all the staff, are such assets to the hotel. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and genuinely made our stay even better.

The hotel itself is not five-star luxury, but it does not pretend to be. It is comfortable, well-kept and has a lovely relaxed feel. The breakfast options could possibly be improved, as they are quite basic, but it still covered what we needed each morning.

Overall, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend The Rockley in a heartbeat. A brilliant choice for families looking for somewhere comfortable, friendly and well-located.

The accommodation is top and deserves it ratings. Ieis a small hotel but big in personality and hospitality.
The hotel is clean although it is on the street this adds to its personality in my view.

The beach is across the road. My suggestion would be to have only one vendors dealing with deck chairs and umbrellas to avoid confusion.

I did not participate in hotel activities or dining experiences as these would be an additional costs to my stay.

Kareoke on Sunday is a must if your brave to participate.
Tuesday night managers party steel-pan canopies local merchandise and art.

My wife and I had a wonderful holiday together in Barbados, Troy and the team went the extra mile to ensure our visit was unforgettable. The staff are the friendliest bunch we have ever come across and their hard work and forever smiles will remain with us for years to come. The Rockley is in an ideal place for easy access to the beach and with a taxi stance/ bus stop right across the road (we loved the reggae buses) the restaurants and other beaches were easily accessed. The hotel itself has a great little restaurant also which serves lunch and dinner.
So for a totally chilled, friendly atmosphere look no further than this place. Already planning a visit for next year.

Excellent accommodation, clean and modern fresh and colourful design. We had a 1 bedroom apartment with amazing views of the pool and sea view. Facilities include gym and chill,out room which are good.

Breakfast was very good, lots of choice including healthy options.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Managers and front desk staff all great and accommodating and made us feel so welcome and at home.

Had a great stay at the Rockley, this was our second visit to the the hotel and it did not disappoint (only issue was my stay was short, two nights). Excellent service and the room was clean. The staff was always very helpful. The breakfast was very good with local dishes included. Location was perfect, with the beach over the road, fine restaurants close by and transportation readily accessible.

I’ve just arrived back from a weeks stay with my sister and husband. The hotels in a great location central to everywhere with great bus services on your doorstep. You can hop on a bus and go anywhere for 3.50 bds.
It’s a busy area but laid back at the same time. Everyone is polite and helpful, when crossing the busy road cars, taxis, buses stop to let you cross safely.
The staff were all lovely and polite and couldn’t do enough for us. Special shout out to Tyrique and Seth always so happy in their work, great lads who are a credit to you.
The breakfast was really nice with enough choice to satisfy anyone.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable, it could do with a lick of a paint but that’s just cosmetic.
The house keepers always worked hard with a smile on their faces our room was always spotless.

We had a fantastic experience at Rockley. The hotel was in good condition, a nice pool, bar and dining facilities. The hotel staff were incredibly hardworking and friendly throughout our visit. They truly went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect and to meet our asks. We really appreciated the warm, welcoming atmosphere and staff taking time to engage in conversation. They generated and encouraged a friendly atmosphere across the cadre of guests. Add that the beach was less than 50paces from the hotel and transport by bus available even closer and we couldn't go wrong. A great stay.

We can't say enough good about the experience. We paid a little extra for a room with a separate bedroom. The room was like a small apartment with a large balcony that you could sit at a table and ready or lay on a lounger in the sun. Everyone was so kind and friendly! The beach was across the street. The pool wasn't crowded. Lots of restaurants in the area. Easy access to buses. Shops were close by. All in all, we had an amazing vacation.
