Door de massale en voortdurend zichtbare aanwezigheid van politieagenten in uniform voelde ons verblijf onrustig en niet

Ons verblijf in het Hilton in Keulen hebben wij helaas niet als prettig ervaren. Tijdens ons verblijf verbleef er een zeer grote politiemacht in het hotel. De agenten liepen voortdurend in uniform door het hotel en zaten ’s avonds ook in uniform in de bar.

Ik begrijp dat het hotel hier mogelijk een zakelijke afspraak over had en dat de agenten gewoon hun werk deden. Toch had hun massale en voortdurend zichtbare aanwezigheid grote invloed op de sfeer. Het voelde onrustig en ongemakkelijk en gaf ons niet het ontspannen hotelgevoel waarop wij hadden gehoopt.

Naar mijn mening had het hotel de overige gasten vooraf over deze bijzondere situatie mogen informeren. Dan hadden wij zelf kunnen beslissen of wij onder deze omstandigheden in het hotel wilden verblijven. Voor ons heeft dit helaas een duidelijke negatieve invloed gehad op de ervaring.
