The staff are very helpful, the hotel is right on Kuta beach...., the breakfast is very good.
Honestly, I didn't like Kuta beach... it's a bit dirty.
Rooms were a good size, clean and the beds were comfortable. Location is amazing for watching the sunset from the rooftop pool and a short walk to Poppies lanes and the beachwalk shopping centre
Nothing
Havuz keyifliydi
Alttaki odalarda rutubet kokusu vardı
Konumu çalışanların ilgisi, güler yürürlüğü, temizliği kahvaltı çeşitliliği kısaca her şeyiyle çok keyifli bir tatil geçirdik
Our stay at the Mercure Hotel Kuta Bali was exceptional in every way. We enjoyed incredible value for a truly top-notch experience, with supremely comfortable rooms and a delicious, varied buffet. What made it unforgettable was the wonderfully friendly and approachable staff from the waiters to everyone we met whose excellent service and warm hospitality made us feel completely at home. We all enjoyed it to the fullest and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bali.
We stayed at Mercure Kuta for seven days and found it to be excellent value—comfortable, well‑run, and very reasonably priced for its location right on Kuta Beach. Everything promised was delivered: a spacious room with a genuinely comfortable bed, high‑quality housekeeping, and a buffet breakfast that was consistently well stocked with a good variety of fresh, nutritious options. The rooftop pool and deck area are a nice touch, offering a relaxing spot to unwind with views over the beach, while the open‑air bar and lounge on the ground floor make for an easy place to enjoy a drink and westerly sea breezes in the evening.
A standout feature of this hotel is the staff. They are professional, efficient, and warm in a way that feels completely genuine. Everyone we interacted with seemed to truly enjoy looking after their guests and took pride in providing the best service possible. It creates a welcoming atmosphere where you start to feel at home surprisingly quickly—and you end up looking forward to your next stay before you’ve even checked out, which says everything about the experience.
I like this place, so comfort, the staff are so kind and welcoming. I like the food. Excellent
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and once again it was a great experience. All the staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and very friendly. They always make me feel comfortable and at home.
The service is consistently excellent, which is why I chose to come back again. I truly appreciate the warm hospitality and would happily return in the future. Highly recommended!
I've been to Bali 7 times and this was my first time actually staying in Kuta. We stayed two nights at the end of a 3 week trip to be near the airport and to do some last minute shopping. One night would probably have been better.
Firstly, the location is excellent and this is what you're paying for. It's right on the beach promenade and steps away from the main shopping street and close to the big shopping centre.
It is similar to other Mercure properties I've stayed at (Koh Samui, Santiago, Hurghada to name a few), it looks nice in the photos, but when you arrive everything is a little bit dilapidated. I really need to stop staying at this brand.
The value really isn't there compared to other locations in Bali and other hotels. The room was one of the smallest I've ever stayed in, and certainly the smallest room I've ever stayed in while in Bali by far! We stayed in 5 different hotels in 5 different locations in Bali on this trip (6 including our stay in Lombok), and the Mercure Kuta was the most expensive one, apart from the Apurva Kempinski at Nusa Dua, which we treated ourselves to at the beginning of the holiday for 3 nights. We had an ocean view twin on the top floor, so it wasn't the most basic room either. (The room had a side view of the ocean, we could hardly see it, the rooms should be called "Partial ocean view, calling them ocean view is misleading.) The twin beds in the room were probably only about 2 inches apart and couldn't be seperated any more than that. My mother and I may as well have been sleeping in the same bed. Bathroom was absolutely tiny, nowhere to put toiletries near the sink or anywhere else. Wardrobe was only big enough for one suitcase, had to put the other in the already tiny sleeping area.
It's very noisy, but I'd guess any hotel close to the centre of Kuta would be. Be warned this one is basically next door to the Hard Rock Hotel and they have karaoke until the early hours of the morning.
The breakfast area is ludicrous. The restaurant is set out in one area, and the buffet is located in this tiny little nook, which is downstairs. So basically, you have half the people in the hotel, all crammed into this tiny little buffet area, all jostling each other, trying to get food and drink and then they all have to try and get up a flight of stairs while carrying plates and glasses to eat. Insanity.
We had dinner at the hotel one night, I had chicken parmigana, which tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave.
We were told on check in that everything was pay as you go, which was annoying as we didn't have a lot of cash left as we were leaving soon and didn't want to keep incurring transaction fees by using cards. It turned out we could have had an account by leaving a credit card or a deposit but we were told this wasn't an option.
Overall, I could live with most of the issues, however the size of the room for the price is just crazy.
