Location was great, front desk very pleasant
We were on the lower level, the people above us, were extremely noisy, sounded like kids were jumping off the furniture.
Yes 💯
Yes💯
I like that it was close to a lot of stores and I love the indoor pool for the kids
The room was not as clean as it was supposed to be. The bathroom door has spots. The tub was spotty, and pubic hair was in the tub. I had to clean it myself.
Just found this hotel
We seen the price pretty high like $200 per night but this room was GORGEOUS its like an apartment the service is amazing and the room is like home and cant wait to eat there breakfast!
I appreciate them having our room ready earlier than actual check in time, but I have to say this room needs serious maintenance. There’s tiles all around the sink area and the bathroom that are loose and popping up, there’s a random dip in the floor when it goes from tile to carpet, and the entire rug is the slightest bit damp and there’s a slight mustiness. We’re traveling with a 2 year old and in my eyes these are a handful of safety/health hazards.
Breakfast was ok, would have liked more dairy free options, juice was good.
The sausage patties were burnt and the scrambled eggs were very bland. Would have liked some flavor options for the waffle mix like at Hampton Inn. The room had ants and had to have maintenance come to fix the toilet as it kept backing up. The curtains in the room were dirty and the room smelled moldy until we bought odor absorber and lysol spray. No cutting board in the kitchenette. The tub was dirty/stained looking and to bathe our toddler we had to put towels at the bottom of the tub as I was uncomfortable with her naked skin touching the bottom of the tub. After coming home from an event the entire carpet was soaking wet which was the last straw. Switched hotels and went to the Hampton Inn and had a so much cleaner, better room. The only reason I chose Homewood was for the kitchenette, the bathtub, and the fact it was a suite with a bedroom since we have a toddler that usually needs to be in a crib in her own room. Ended up having her sleep in the room with us on a crib mattress that we bought from Target since the pack and play was so small and next time will get a blow up pool for a bathtub and choose the Hampton Inn for my next visit to this area. The only bright spot was the manager on duty that did not charge us for our last day and gave us ample time to pack up and leave without us feeling rushed since it was past check out time when we made the decision to switch hotels.
I had 3 rooms here this stay and all of them were amazing, I've been coming here for years and I have had the opportunity to stay in every type of suite here. They are all fantastic , spacious , clean and so cute. It smells good. Beds are comfortable, staff is amazing and shoutout to maria martin- front office supervisor! She is a superstar. They treat Gold and diamond members like family. Hidden gem / very good for the price. Highly recommend as best Hilton in 203 area.
In between a lease and a house build, we chose to stay here for 3 months. Many other long-termers also on property, from contract workers to those in a similar boat to us. So we got to know a few of the “residents”.
Overall?
- 5 stars for the staff (all of them were fantastic, except one front desk staff member who was always rude and surly and NEVER made us feel welcome)
- 4 stars for location
- 3.5 stars for the overall hotel (amenities, breakfast, services etc)
- 2 stars for room comfort
- 0 stars for the almost permanent smell of marijuana permeating throughout the hotel
So. Much. Marijuana. We were grateful to get out of there in the end, if only so we could breathe.
PROS:
Staff (for the most part they were very kind and welcoming, and always helpful and accommodating — special shout-outs to Barri, Maria, Bobbi and Peter).
Excellent breakfasts and Wednesday night socials.
Good location.
Small but well-equipped gym with a water bottle filling station.
Maintenance were always quick to respond to issues with our room.
CONS:
Room small and dated (but it served us well enough for 3 months).
The bed in our room was advertised as a queen, but it was definitely a double. Far too small for two adults and the sheets didn’t fit the bed.
The mattress was horrific — we asked for the mattress to be changed during our stay, but it never was. After sleeping on it for 3 months, my husband’s back is still sore 6 weeks later.
Kids running around at all hours — very loud in the hallways (and the rooms aren’t soundproof).
The hotel needs a major update/renovation — very worn and used.
Happy to see four different recycling bins on each floor, but I was concerned they were just there to look good and make guests (like me) feel good, as I saw everything lumped together when taken out to the dumpsters.
Bathroom could use a fan.
Guests would often wedge open with a rock the “no re-entry” doors — no security at the hotel as a result.
Showers were cold in the morning and boiling hot in the afternoon and evening!
Aardig personeel.
Very convenient and we needed a two bedroom and they offer that
We stayed 5 days and never had our room cleaned. They stayed they come I. And clean every other day. We called the front desk and still did not have our room cleaned. They did get us clean towels and toilet paper. The first day the bathrooms were missing shampoo and body soap.
I enjoy the pool for my kids and free breakfast
The sofa mattress was ripped and showing springs . Not comfortable . Room wasn’t cleaned properly found garbage under bed and floor was dirty
Room fit my needs.
Chlorine smell on lower level quite nauseating.
We woke up to our room overrun by ants and had to leave asap
The room was a good size with all amenities. The bed was mostly comfortable (sheets, pillows, etc). Wifi was easy to connect to, and worked great. Staff was amazing and very friendly. They had a pool, exerise facility, and game room.
The breakfast was awful. I have stayed at other Homewood Suites and you can tell this one was managed by someone who wanted maximum profit. Powdered eggs and a meat, often overcooked or not hot. First day was corned beef hash, which I love. This looked and tasted like I imagine dog food would. I didn't bother with breakfast on the 2nd day. 3rd day they had bacon, which I also love! Somehow they made it like jerky. I chewed it until it turned to sawdust. They had a selection of other items (oatmeal, yogurt, bruised fruit), waffles to make, and bread items. The bed killed my back because I sleep on my stomach, and the mattress was sunken in the middle.
