I would not recommend at least untill they change positioning and price accordingly and 2-3 stars hotel

Location is good, but still quite remote from Victoria station

I would argue this is 4 stars, no.
Not a value for money for sure.
I’ve been targeting 4 stars standard and very disappointed with the aftertaste of being tricked by someone.
There are plenty of places nearby providing bed and breakfast, but they do position themselves honestly as 2-3 stars and they charge accordingly.
While the hotel staff are doing their best, the overall experience is not even close to what you would expect from 4 stars.
Breakfast needs to be scheduled in advance and you need to decide between having tomato or beans: selecting only 2 out of 4 options available that accompanies your fried egg.
Finally, beds and pillows are not comfortable.

The Windermere Hotel is a great little find. We will certainly be using it again.
Pros:

Everything went well. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was fine with plenty of hot water. Bed comfy pillows not so comfy. Breakfast cooked fresh and gluten free options fine except for toast!
The location was perfect for us, near to Victoria (about 10 minutes walk) and the neighbourhood was nice. Several coffee shops and restaurants.

Cons:

The only picky thing was the gluten free toast. They tried very hard but as they had to put the bread in the oven it just would not brown. We did suggest toasting bags to prevent cross contamination.
