Perfect location minutes from Kilkenny Castle
Pros:

The hotel is the perfect location within a few minutes walk from Kilkenny Castle! Decent hotel with access to a pool. We weren’t able to use the pool as the timing didn’t work out for us to use it during the kids hours. (We only stayed 1 night.)

Great Two-Night Stay with Excellent Bar Dining
Pros:

We had a very enjoyable two-night stay at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything Kilkenny has to offer.
The hotel itself was comfortable and welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. Our room was clean and well-maintained, providing a great base for the trip.
We also dined in the bar one evening and were very impressed, the food was excellent, with great quality and generous portions in a relaxed atmosphere.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would happily return.

Comfortable stay.
Pros:

Very nice hotel, we enjoyed our stay. Room was comfortable, clean and just what we needed.

Cons:

The hotel was very clean perfectly but I was disappointed when I walked into the lifts and they looked dirty. Considering the hotel was so clean, the lifts were not up to their standard.

Great stay
Pros:

We recently stayed at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel and had such a lovely experience. It was our first trip away with our baby, so we were a little nervous, but the hotel made it so special for us.
Our room was huge, spotless, and very comfortable, with a lovely balcony. The baby travel cot was already set up for us, which made everything so much easier. The bed was incredibly comfy too — much appreciated!
To top it off, the hotel surprised us with a beautiful anniversary treat plate in the evening, which was such a thoughtful touch for our wedding anniversary.
The food was fantastic — dinner was amazing, and breakfast service was great. The staff really stood out; the ladies at reception were so welcoming, chatty, and genuinely interested in our baby and our journey, which made us feel right at home.
We also loved the swimming pool — it was lovely and warm, perfect even for a newborn. The location of the hotel is ideal as well, making it easy to get around.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it, especially for families.

Location was great, staff was friendly.

Cons:

Way too expensive but it was all I could get for the night I was there. Restaurant was overly fancy and expensive, food was just ok. Did not feel very ”Irish”
