The staff - very helpful and friendly. The room was modern and comfortable. Restaurant had good choices and service.
Too warm in lobby and restaurant - hard to find a cool bit where the air con was coming through.

I first stayed at Sunway Hotel in 2007, and since then I have stayed there over 30 times! Apart from the spacious and comfortable rooms, the ideal location, and the delicious food served in the restaurant, the staff members are one extra reason I always choose to stay there. No matter what time I arrive, the staff members are always there, eager to make my stay as comfortable as possible. A couple of times, they even kept the restaurant open until very late for my party and me!
Special thanks to Mrs Ravy, who even mended the zipper of my backpack at the reception area while I was having dinner with my team on my last visit on 16 February!
Looking forward to my next trip in April!

A good location in Phnom Penh is all about where your activities take place. Traffic is normally horrendous in the entire city, so find a hotel close to where you want to visit. The Sunway is a quiet sanctuary within easy walking distance of the river tourist area. The river tourist area is also quite congested so at the end of the day the quiet of the Sunway is appreciated. My first stay at the Sunway was 18 years ago. While it shows a little of its age on the edges, it is really in good condition with an extremely helpful staff throughout the hotel and restaurant. Excellent value for the discount pricing which is normally available.
The restaurant menu and buffet are tilted toward Asian tastes with fewer Western choices for someone like me. A bit too much salt also.
