We reserved the room for 2 nights 3/15-3/1726. We were assigned room 107. Unfortunately the weather turn to thunderstorms during our stay. On the evening of 3/15/26 we asked the front desk if we could change our reservation to one day and we were informed that we could but to check back the next morning. The next day 3/16/26, the weather had not improved and asked the front desk if we could change our reservation to 1 night, we were told no since we booked with a third party. We packed up our belongings and took our keys and proceeded to tour the city, we got caught in the storm and decided to return to the Hampton Inn to change cloths. Housekeeping was cleaning our room. We said we needed the room. The housekeeper called her supervisor and she told my husband our room had been released to another guest. We proceed to the Front desk to question this and no one was around. We then returned our keys and left the property. We feel that we are entitled to one nights compensation as the Hampton Inn did not honor our reservation especially when we were told that no changes could be made to our reservation.

Courtesy shuttle to the trolley station.

Cons:

Parking is tight, but they were able to find a spot for us. Appreciate the staff service for accommodating.

Nice hotel, but I had a bad experience due to the stolen chain and the lack of empathy on the part of the general manage
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and smelled wonderful upon entry. Everything was comfortable, spacious, and clean.

Cons:

The hotel charges $20 per day for parking. I usually see this in larger metropolitan areas which is understandable given the lack of parking available. This hotel had plenty of parking and was a little out of the way so I didn’t see a need to add another charge to my stay.

I also left a very special gold Chan on the sink when I departed. I called as soon as I realized I didn’t have it. They said they would look for it and call me back. The next day I sent a message because nobody had called me to say if it was or wasn’t found. The general manager, Arthur, told me not to call again and that they would call me if it was found. I was so upset because I had gotten the chain while serving in the military during the first gulf war. I can buy another chain, but it’s not the same. This one had so much sentimental value. I offered a reward, but they said nobody found it. I know exactly where it was and in my heart I feel the housekeeping staff took it and kept it. I was more upset that Arthur said do not call again. I never got angry with them and my message was nice. I was just pleading with them to talk to the housekeeper and tell her that I would pay her for it. He made me feel worse than I already felt. No compassion at all. The desk manager (I can’t remember her name)was very kind and was very sorry that it wasn’t found, but Arthur was rude in my opinion.

Pros:

We had an uncomfortable bed when we first arrived. Waited 2 nights before asking to be moved to another room. We were initially in a 2 Queen room as the King rooms were taken when we tried to book. The 2nd bed in the new room (King bed) was great..no complaints. The breakfast was very good..many options. The staff was fantastic.
