Breakfast was good. Location was good, parking adequate. Checkin was smooth and staff helpful.
Room and hotel in general were not very clean. Elevator was dingy and room bath had talc on wall and floor. Furniture was stained.
The cleanliness, the breakfast was good, didn't have to pay anything else, not a Continental breakfast a full one.
Love the little kitchen had everything, even a full fridge, uncommon with other Hotels.
A little noisy at times, but not too often didn't disturb my sleep.
the location was great, the suite was better than expected, they waited for me to arrive even though i was hours late, and the place was quiet. There is a couple of shopping centers within 5 minutes, with food, tech, office supplies. I will be going back
Our 2 room suite was very large with 3 beds total and 2 full bathrooms (one with bathtub and the other with walk in shower). The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet. The property also was in a good location for strong T-Mobile data and phone connectivity/usage, which was a pleasant surprise given the hilly location of the hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly.
The room was not clean (e.g. cobwebs around the windows and drapes, common sitting room couch and chair were filthy, etc.). Also there was only one small old elevator for 3 floors, so you had to wait your turn unless you are willing to carry your luggage up flights of stairs.
It appears a dog stayed in the room before us because there was dry dog food pellets scattered on the kitchen floor, and the bathtub in one of the bathrooms smelled like wet dog after a bath. This is advertised as a dog friendly property, but it doesn't appear there are dog free rooms. So if you have pet allergies be warned.
There's no daily room service so you have to get fresh towels from the front desk. Guests then simply pile their wet used towels outside their door leading to a constant wet mustiness in the hallways. Also, full garbage bags are left in the hallway daily so you have to walk a gauntlet of them, some of which smell strongly of old tuna, sardine, or pet food cans.
The free breakfast was just okay, but one morning the dinning area was closed because the employee who set it up didn't show up for work. No credit or alternative was offered as a replacement.
The free WiFi is very slow at about 5 mbps so expect slow downloads and pixilation of videos. They also charge $10/night for parking even though it's in a remote location, the lot is in desperate need of resurfacing, and they accept no responsibility for damage or vandalism. There's ample free street parking just outside the property, which many guest used rather than pay the $10.
Finally, and probably most disappointing, the couch and chair in the common area were extremely beaten down and uncomfortable, as if they were original from when the property was first a Residence Inn 20 or more years ago. So there's no comfortable place to sit during an extended stay. As a result, we often resorted to sitting up in our bed to read, relax, or watch TV.
I asked for early check in at 3 pm and I was told room will be ready. It wasn’t.
I had to wait until 4 pm. I got the room but it wasn’t cleaned at all and I had to come down and ask for another room. It was a total mess as many people have been waiting and rooms were not ready. I too the room which was being cleaned as I knew I would surely get it in 15 minutes. The lady at the front desk was nice and doing her best but the other guy wasn’t nice and he didn’t give me the room when I came at 3 and didn’t even apologize for not being the room ready. I felt like I was as being treated as a lucky to have found a place to stay. He needs to do better.
Breakfast was delicious and everything I expected
Entering my room and trash left in kitchen from previous occupant. Elevator floors need cleaning hallway carpets need better vacuuming.
The stove in the kitchen did not work at all
The location was great. I was pleased with the facilities… they were clean and the staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating.
I was disappointed with the laundry. We requested a set of bedding for the pull out couch. The sheets were stained and the blanket had holes. We asked for a second set…. The sheets were better, but the blanket had holes. To me, that is unacceptable.
Friendly staff
Not very clean
Breakfast two days was not available during my stay at the hotel , all other service was excellent except the breakfast . I suggest to look for it seriously and improve it accordingly
My room and facility , hotel location and quietness
staff some only , one lady in reception needs more training for customer service courses
The location and we had stayed at this hotel in the past. Good breakfast options.
We noticed the elevator was worse for ware and noisy. The piece of furniture the TV was on is too close to the bed so that a squared edge could hurt a person if not careful.
Property is old and the restrooms are smell bad, towels are not good quality, toilet doesn’t flush well.
No really
The staff was attentive - the property is close to the freeway -
The common area by stairwell and hallway often smelled of old garbage. The room was very dingy- not what I have experienced at other Sonesta properties. Breakfast was terrible. Eggs horrible- sausage poor quality
We stayed there for a night, next morning on Sunday we went to eat and there was No breakfast!! Only cereal and yogurt
- Room had closet door broken and unsafe to walk by
- Carpet smells
- Old TV
Ocean was really helpful, great team!
The washer and dryer didn’t work spent so much money trying to use it but they need updates.
Breakfast could be better.
