The entire hotel was AMAZING! The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, the restaurant food was very good, the room was EXCEPTIONAL! I think this will need to be our new girlfriends getaway spot! Thank you Hotel Rumbao!!
That We couldn't stay longer 😢
I loved the colors and style of the Property. There is a new Casino right across the street from the Hotel which opened the night we arrived. Unfortunately, due to flight delays we arrived late and didn’t get to enjoy the surrounding area. The Property is very old and could use a little refreshing. We enjoyed the on-site Restaurant for a late dinner upon arrival. We also had breakfast the next morning; which was included in our Hotel Room Rate.
The Property seemed that it was in need of a refreshing. Not dilapidated but in need of a bit of work. Also, the Hotel is not a walking distance to the Cruise Port as suggested by the description; unless your really fit. Be prepared to take a taxi or Uber if staying there pre-cruise.
Great location
Dirty linen outside the room for the whole stay. Rooms and bathroom were not clean (hairs from previous occupants throughout). Advertised as having a balcony (it was a Juliet balcony, too small to even fit one chair). Very expensive.
L'établissement dispose d'une jolie décoration et la chambre était grande, Mélanie à la réception était vraiment très gentille et serviable à notre arrivée.
L'emplacement est idéal dans la vieille ville face à la mer.
Il y a un gros problème de propreté (cheveux dans la salle de bain au sol sur les plinthes et dans le caniveau de douche, sous les tables de chevet, tapis non aspiré...) et malgré le fait que nous l'ayons mentionné à la réception le ménage n'a pas été refait correctement par la suite non plus....
A notre arrivée aucun drap ni couette pour le canapé lit alors que nous avions mentionné être 3 dans la chambre.
De plus le service du petit déjeuner est beaucoup trop long ( près de 45 minutes d'attente à chaque fois) ils ne doivent pas être assez nombreux en cuisine....un credit de 21 USD/jour/chambre est offert à utiliser sur nourriture et boissons dans l'hôtel mais lorsque nous avons voulu l'utiliser pour le dernier petit déjeuner ils ne l'ont pas accepté alors qu'ils l'ont appliqué sur les 2 jours précédents, le crédit ne marche pas le jour du check-out (cela aurait été bien de nous le mentionner à l'arrivée....)
Great location. Rooms were clean and got water everyday for the room. Access to the gym. Felt safe at the hotel.
Small thing but the sun loungers didn’t have paddings on them so were not very comfortable and if you wanted a drink at the pool you had to travel down to the 2nd floor to get one to bring back up to the pool (9th floor).

It was a bit pricey
We returned to the totally renovated Hotel to find a beautiful makeover. Our room was fabulous, the bar and restaurant were fabulous, the staff were fabulous. Rumbao is a gem in the heart of Old San Juan. We will be back, same time next year!!!

Everything was good, clean rooms, friendly staff, beautiful hotel.
The evening manager was awesome (can't remember his name, maybe Juan or Jose 😬🫣). He resolved our issue in a second. Professional and kind. A true leader in the hotel business.
The 1br balcony suite was spacious, bed was comfortable. The top roof pool was on the smaller size but has everything you need.
Front desk ladies. A bit arrogant and condescending. Until the manager arrived.
Our suite lacked towels and furniture bit dusty (an easy fix - didn't impact the stay)

Wonderful hotel with incredibly helpful, and attentive staff. The view from our room was breathtaking. Beautiful sunny skies with the San Juan Bay as the background.
The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Quiet during the night, and close enough to walk anywhere in the old city.
Big shoutout to Josephine P. For being an absolute delight to work with. She got us situated and taken care of very quickly. Very friendly, warm, and approachable. She made our experience that much more enjoyable.
Not my first time staying at this hotel, and certainly not the last.

My experience in Rumbao was 20/10. Starting with my late check in, Sarah received me with such kindness, calmness and patience, just what I needed after a long flight. I extended my stay one more night and Carlos was exceptional and inviting. He gave me recommendations for sunset and treated me with the most genuine personality. Josephine, Hector from Breakfast and valet parking were also professional and accommodating with my requests. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences staying in San Juan. Hotel was very cleaned and smelled very nice. Will be coming back!
Espectacular vista y ubicación frente al mar. Habitaciones super grandes y cómodas. Teníamos vista al jardín pero nos cambiaron a vista parcial al mar, muy bonito. Hemos dormido muy bien. Es calidad Marriott.
Tiene un Wallgreens justo abajo, y muchos restaurantes y tiendas caminando muy cerca.
Nos asignaron 21 dólares por habitación para consumir en el restaurante, lo aprovechamos en Kueros para un drink.
Muy buen buffet de desayuno, lo teníamos incluido y estaba súper variado.
No hay “rumba” en el hotel, el restaurante tenía musica en vivo pero muy corto el tiempo y no era para bailar como nos habían contado.
La fruta entera del desayuno estaba verde, tal vez era solo para decoración?
