Friendly and helpful staff
Pros:

We were happy with the location of this hotel and our Superior Twin Room was very comfortable and good value for money. We found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. There is direct access to the Lambton Quay shopping area and Cable Car Station via a lift at the rear of the bar/restaurant, and also a lift in the neighbouring hotel. We had a hire car and had to pay 25.00 NZD per night to park in Prime Parking next door.

Pros:

Proximity to town was good, elevator to Lambton Quay was good.
Housekeeping staff were awesome.

Cons:

A bit pricey for what it was. Expected more from a posh hotel.

Staff was not listening and debating with us on how milk is always replaced for coffee everyday and we need not worry and as feared we ran out of milk pouches and had to call reception at 5:30 am in the morning.

Pros:

Pork burger was delicious. Both room service staff and front desk staff were amazing and super friendly. Beds were also super comfy and shower was nice and warm.

Cons:

Shower pressure could be a little stronger.

Great location with easy access to Lambton Quay.
Pros:

The location was great with easy access to the shopping mall and water. The hotel has its own lift for easy access. Ask the staff for directions who are very helpful. The room was quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable. But needs a little TLC.

Cons:

The hotel lobby needs a major renovation. The rooms were nice but new carpet would make it 10/10.

Novotel great Wellington option
Pros:

Welcomed us at midnight check in and easily dealt with valet car park and charging our EV ready to go in the morning. Awesome breakfast. Loads of friendly staff about.

Cons:

Loading zone outside had a coach in it on arrival meaning we had to park in the bus stop. Similar problem when getting the car back from valet, loading zone full up with other vehicles.
