Careful if searching for two rooms
Pros:

The room was clean and the location was great.

Cons:

Not sure if this is an issue with the property or Booking but I searched a stay for two rooms and I was directed to this property, with the confirmation email stating one entire apartment. There was no apartment and it was only one small room with 5 beds in it. I selected this property because it was stating "entire apartment" over other, less expensive properties listing two rooms. It is not clear whether Booking is at fault by allowing the search for two rooms to show this property - when no double room is offered, or the property itself by listing single rooms as two rooms. Booking mentioned that the confirmation email stated "Standard family room", which is correct, but the confirmation email also states "entire apartment", which is not correct.
When I checked in and asked about an upgrade to a "much larger" family room, which was pretty much the same size as the one I got, likely just a money grab. Upgrading to two separate room would have doubled the cost of the reservation. I will not go back.

Pros:

Ambience of the hotel was nice. Friendly staff. Our bags were held on after check out. The area outside the hotel is not very nice but hotel stands out. 5 mins walk to metro station.

Cons:

There is no Microwave oven. Too much screeching noice in the fan. Room was small but bathroom was very small. May be it’s a NY thing.
Expensive though. Had it been $200-300 less for a 2 night stay, it would have been great.

Pros:

The location is excellent, just a corner from Little Italy and Chinatown; not so far away from Greenwich Village! Four subway stations are on a short walking distance [Canal St., Bowery, Grand St., Spring St.).
The building has a spirit of ''old, traditional New York''!

Cons:

The noise, not from the outside, but within the hotel. I could hear every step (''bumps'') from the corridor, and from the room above.
