Hotel Tropiq

Curtains in effective, noisy patrons, cramped driveways/parking.
Light got into room. Shower leaked water. Felt like a sticky hotel. Sheets didn't feel nice.

We stayed in a family room for three days. While the bed sheets were clean, we found ants and cockroaches in the bathroom, which was quite concerning.
Travelling with my grandchildren meant we used the pool and shower facilities daily, so we expected the room to be serviced and towels replaced during our stay. Unfortunately, no cleaning was provided, and we had to reuse the same towels for the entire visit.
The door lock and key system also made us feel unsafe, as it did not seem very secure. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, housekeeping, and security significantly affected our experience.

The furnitures were old. Needs updating. Missing some cooking and cleaning equipment for the apartment.

There was mold on our bed sheets, the blanket provided smelt like someone died in it and the toilet seat was also faulty. We saw a few ants which we have heard is a common issue at this property. NO PARKING unlike advertised. Expect your car to be vandalised when parking on the busy street. (scratches and spit galore mostly!)

The room next door kept us awake all night with people coming and going and having a party

Upon arrival, the receptionist was quite rude to us. But that was no where near the issues we had. Our room we had booked seemed nice at first. A few issues like curtains not blocking windows properly, facilities not being well maintained, and rooms not feeling very secure or private with our first room having a sliding glass door as the entrance right on the shared public walkway.

However. Our first room had an ant infestation. We tried to locate the source, and they were climbing up through the plumbing, and crawling underneath and through the decaying, unmaintained grout in the bathroom tiles. We then took this to reception, who gave us some insect pesticide to try. After we doused the room in chemicals, we asked for a different room.
This one, however, had cockroaches in it. This for us was the tipping point which made us leave. The second room also had mould on the walls and ceilings, especially under the air conditioning unit and on the fan. We did not feel safe, secure, comfortable, or clean in either of these two rooms.

We left after 1 night when we had the cockroaches arrive in the morning.

While one of the receptionists was lovely and understanding, we did not get any money back for the two other nights we were meant to stay and ultimately, the discomfort and uncleanliness lead to us having to find an alternative accommodation.

Would not recommend to anyone who does not wish to befriend the local insects and bugs.

The room was small and had an 'unclean' feel about it.
The double size bed was uncomfortable and creaked badly, very little sleep achieved.
The small wardrobe doors were hard to close.
The shower stall had no facilities for placement of soaps and body washes etc. Everything had to be placed on the floor.
Apart from two cups and teaspoons no other cutlery or crockery was supplied, no tea towel.

NOT RECOMMENDEED!

Nothing not to like about this place. Perfect as it is
