Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa

Betty in reservations absolutely made our trip! She was so accommodating with all of our changes we had to make. She was patient and kind and exactly how everyone should be working in customer service. 10/10 for betty thank you for a beautiful stay in a beautiful place!!! :)

Just said for two nights, post cruise before flying home. We have stayed at the Catamaran before, but not for for about twenty years. A few days before arriving my husband read some reviews on Trip Advisor complaining that the rooms were old and tired and to ask for a refurbished room. We emailed the hotel and we did asked and they came back confirming that we would get one.
We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready so they stored our luggage and when we returned our room was ready and the bellman brought it to our room.
The room was large and very clean with everything we needed, with a lovely garden view. Not ultra modern and a little dark but very comfortable.
The staff are all very helpful and anything we asked for was brought to us within minutes. It was lovely returning here again after so many years to see the exotic birds are still there and the gardens are still as beautiful as ever.
We left with lovely memories of the Catamaran.

La comida del restaurant era muy rica pero un poco cara, ahora la comodidad de no salir del resort era algo que se valoraba. Había spots para sentarse a tomar algo y relajarse con fogones en las mesas mirando la playa. También había una cafetería para llevar para comprar algo mas barato.
El hotel tenía salida a la playa caminando y aunque no nos bañamos porque fuimos en febrero nos tocaron días fríos, se veía tranquilo como un lago. Alquilé bicicleta en un muelle del hotel y el paseo fue espectacular por la bahía y la playa.
Volvería a San Diego me encantó y al mismo hotel.

I loved the location and grounds of the property, but the hotel itself is extremely outdated. My room specially (461) was also dirty (walls, moldings, chair, curtains). The bed felt as if I was just sleeping on the springs. Come for the location, but not the hotel itself.

Booked Catamaran Resort Hotel, and Renée in the reservations department was so wonderful! She was helpful, kind, and helped me book the reservation. Even gave some recommendations that are family friendly for our stay.

So close to everything. Felt like you were in a secluded Hawaiian resort while being just minutes away from PB

We stayed with the family and had a great time. Receptionist Dante was excellent, extremely courteous, kind and helpful. Wish all receptionists were like him.

I stay here at the Catamaran Resort whenever I can when I come to San Diego to visit my family. The rooms are very nice and freshly redecorated..always clean and the beds are comfortable. The people that work here are very pleasant and always willing to help you if you need it. I love the pool and hot tub area. They have an enclosure with their house Cockatiels and Cockatoos that have been there for a very long time. Kids and adults love them! They have large Koi fish, turtles and ducks there at the resort on their beautiful grounds. They have a pub and restaurants, a gift shop and a nice convenient quick serve place to get snacks or a quick lunch or breakfast items… I can’t say enough of this place. I always feel a little sad when I have to leave it…

Great location

Went to the spa today to celebrate my sister’s 50th bday and we had the most relaxing and comfortable day we’ve had at Catamaran in the 20+ years we’ve been going there. The spa staff were warm and inviting and they helped us organize several different treatments each. My massage therapist Andrea was exceptional! Instant relaxation when she started our treatment. And what a lovely personality she has. A sincere delight! My sister had a few treatments with Shanna and she had the same review I did with her therapist. We’ll sleep like babies tonight. Thank you to the spa for making her day so special and we’ll be back soon!

Everything about it is great. The property makes you feel secluded and safe. Awesome tropical vibes
