Great breakfast and good location. Bed was comfortable
Room was not efficiently build. Outdated style. No space to place your clothes, no closet except a few hooks on the wall.
We loved all of the amenities. We love the location. The pie and ice cream in the evening was a great bonus! The staff was cordial and helpful! The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable!
We were mistakenly placed in a handicap room, which had no chairs and a handicap shower, which was extremely large. The rain showerhead did not work and the handheld was difficult. We should’ve said something, but honestly, the amenities at the hotel and the people were so good that we just decided to stay where we were. We had requested a double double room and that’s what we got. The only problem was it was meant for handicap use.
They had excellent Ocean views . Awesome Breakfast every morning overlooking the Ocean. Very peaceful and quiet rooms.
Enjoyed my 67th Birthday there. Avila had plenty of Eatieries nearby. Would stay again.
The Sofas are broken down, feels like you"re sitting on metal.
Not much
The fireplace didn't work. Wanted to use the jacuzzi and the only heat they offered was a 12x9 space heater. Then they advised that breakfast was going to be late as the power would be out for a few hours
Beautiful ocean view. Great location. Room was very nice.
No elevator
Pretty
Nothing all was great
Great location in a small town. Easy access to the beach. Great hospitality of the staff. Fresh pie in the evening. Breakfast on the roof top was excellent.
The mattress and pillows were just ok. An upgrade in quality is warranted.
The breakfast
The room did not look like the pictures that I seen in the web site
Breakfast, coffee, view, Pie & Ice Cream. And…. The Amazing staff!!
It is older & our Jacuzzi didn’t work. BUT worth the price & location!!
Location was great! Staff was okay
My husband and I arrived at check-in time (3:00 PM) and were informed our room was not yet ready. While we understand delays happen, we were told we would receive a call within a couple of minutes. That wait turned into nearly an hour before we were finally able to access the room.
Upon entering the room, we were immediately met with a strong odor of urine and mold. While the room itself was cute and appeared generally tidy at first glance, the smell was overwhelming. My husband opened the windows to try to air it out, and we attempted to make the best of the situation. However, because the bed is located so close to the restroom, we had to keep the bathroom door closed for the duration of our stay due to the odor.
We also noticed visible mold throughout the shower, as well as dog food on the floor that had not been swept. The following day, we went downstairs to inform the front desk of these issues and were told someone would be sent to clean the room.
When we returned, the only actions taken were replacing clean towels and picking up the dog food. The mold in the shower was still present, and there was no improvement in the smell of the room—no deep cleaning or deodorizing had been done.
Additionally, despite being told that dogs are not allowed and that staff was unaware of any dog being in the room previously, we are confident a dog had stayed there. While looking out our window, we observed that the previous guest had been throwing dog feces out the window, which had landed on a tarp on the second floor below. This further raised concerns regarding sanitation, room inspection, and overall guest safety.
When we expressed our concerns, we were told that because bleach is not allowed, mold is expected. This response was disappointing, as visible mold, lingering odors, and cleanliness issues should not be considered acceptable for any guest, regardless of cleaning product limitations.
