Property Description
When we say that nothing stands between you and the perfect California beach vacation, we mean it. The Inn at Avila Beach is right on the water, overlooking a postcard-worthy slice of the Pacific Ocean coastline. Our 3 story hotel has 31 rooms & suites, and a rooftop cafe for breakfast. Convenient stairway access to each floor, please note we do not have an Elevator. Perks range from a daily Coffee House Breakfast to pie and ice cream every night at 7:00 p.m., plus popsicles, popcorn, filtered water dispenser and beach cruisers, with fast free Wi-Fi. Each room is different in design and décor, sharing a warm, cozy ambiance and thoughtful comforts like free Wi-Fi, plush pillowtop beds, microwaves and mini fridges. Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. Note: the hotel is closed for renovations beginning October 1, 2026, with reopening in 2027 (date to be determined).
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Loved the location. An out-of-the-way peaceful village. The beach was perfect. The breakfast on the roof was wonderful, as was the evening pie/ice cream.
Coffee on the roof is perfection! Love all the little touches to welcome people.
Unfortunately no vegan options for breakfast or snacks but the oat milk latte was delicious. Guests are extremely loud in the morning starting at 6am. There were people shouting from below to their rooms and also the tv kept turning on in the morning no matter how many times I turned it off.

Location
Roof eating area was covered with bird pop on the tables. Furniture was old. I asked for a room for disabled person and got one that was too high -room 2002. Exterior mats are a threat to safety. The office help should distribute a map of the facility for thr gust so that the guest may navigate the complex. Lighting in the room was not bright enough and this is true in the exterior. Furnishings are old.
The breakfast on the terrace was excellent with an amazing view. We were able to park in the inner courtyard. Basic beach equipment was available with no extra fee.
During the week days, there was only one person making and serving the breakfast.
Hôtel idéalement situé et donnant directement sur la plage d'Avilla. Personnel très aimable. Café - Thé - Infusion en libre service dans le lobby. Terrasse-rooftop avec vue sur la plage accessible en fin de journée jusqu'à 22H et le matin pour le petit-déjeuner.
Malgré une arrivée plus d'1/2H avant la fin du petit-déjeuner... il ne restait presque plus rien (même plus du pain...) donc très décevant notamment quand l'hôtel indique "petit-déjeuner inclus". Décoration originale un peu dans son jus. Literie confortable mais encadrement en bois tout autour du matelas qui rend un peu difficile l'accès au lit si on est petit (je fais 1,58m). Terrasse-rooftop fermant à 22H (un peu tôt pour nous qui sommes arrivés à 21H, donc nous n'avons pas pu en profiter).
The location is simply spectacular, the roof top breakfast was a lovrly experience with the seagulls sitting around😃
Everything was perfect
The end at Avila Beach was staffed with remarkable friendly, informative people. The room had a spectacular view of the ocean. We could hear the waves all night long. The the decor was very California retro. But not kitsch.
Parking spaces were a little small

We were on the third floor. There are no elevators. Had to lug all of our luggage up three flights of stairs
