The breakfast was really nice and the staff were excellent
The bathrooms are ancient, reminding one of 1950. The toilets are really small, not fit for normal sized adults. The lack of an elevator in 2026 is quaint, to say the least. My wife and I are 80, and we lugged our luggage up and down three flights of stairs. Fortunately, I am in good shape but my wife has difficulty with stairs.
Location is nice. Staff was kind enough to refund the money. Still had to pay for the first night even though I didn't stay.
Walkways are slanted. The room was not as advertised. The floor in the room was uneven.
Loved the location, rooftop breakfast and lattes, complimentary pie every night, private parking, and comfortable bed.
The only thing was that the WiFi and reception was really spotty. Not a big deal if you don’t need to work while here.
Loved the sun deck and breakfast -beds were comfortable -the jacuzzi tub was good though we never figured out how to start the jets
We enjoyed the sunroof area. The breakfast provided was good. The staff was excellant.
I was disappointed in the room. It was very drab, too dark in color and lacked light. There was mold in the restroom and on the windowsills in the spa area. Not handicapped friendly. Parking was awful.
Great location on Front Street. The rooftop coffee shop was great and free for guests.
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. There's also no AC, which I'm sure is probably not an issue normally, but it was unseasonably warm while I was there.
The breakfast was delicious, and the latte was wonderful, great way to start the day. The room was very comfortable and romantic!

Room was not efficiently build. Outdated style. No space to place your clothes, no closet except a few hooks on the wall.
We loved all of the amenities. We love the location. The pie and ice cream in the evening was a great bonus! The staff was cordial and helpful! The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable!
We were mistakenly placed in a handicap room, which had no chairs and a handicap shower, which was extremely large. The rain showerhead did not work and the handheld was difficult. We should’ve said something, but honestly, the amenities at the hotel and the people were so good that we just decided to stay where we were. We had requested a double double room and that’s what we got. The only problem was it was meant for handicap use.
They had excellent Ocean views . Awesome Breakfast every morning overlooking the Ocean. Very peaceful and quiet rooms.
Enjoyed my 67th Birthday there. Avila had plenty of Eatieries nearby. Would stay again.
The Sofas are broken down, feels like you"re sitting on metal.
