The location was perfect and be
Beautiful place lovely and well kept grounds
It was beautiful
I paid for a bayfront view room and got a room in the back with my backyard having a view of the bay where all the bums hang out with all their RVs and broke down cars that was our view. I paid $1500 for.
It’s location was incredible
I got cussed out “for parking in someone’s parking spot “ maybe staff needs to reiterate it’s open parking
Clean, a little loud with the different events going on but great other than the noise
They got my drink order wrong…once.
Beautiful views, comfortable beds, and plenty to do.
My room smelt like dog pee
First off Dockside restaurant saved it for us, had it not been for the restaurant on site being excellent on all fronts we would have checked out after our first day and cut our losses. Even though we were upgraded to a larger room due to the pool closure, the room was not clean, (sausage stuck to the carpet), no soap in the shower dispenser, sheets that were very uncomfortable, the sliding door hardly opened.....the list goes on. We knew it was going to be dated going in but were beyond disappointed once we were there. Serious updating is needed and they seem to be starting that but for what we paid in the state it's in made our experience far less than what we had hoped for.
The Bahia Resort offers beautiful gardens, comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, a convenient location, and on-site restaurants featuring fresh and delicious options. The price was very fair considering all of the amenities. We had a wonderful week and highly recommend staying here.
Please make sure to read my earlier review about how wonderful the resort is to enjoy as a couples getaway. Just wanted to make sure that possible hotel clients watch for hidden charges that may appear on credit cards after the visit. We have been fighting for 3 months + to have an unauthorized charge removed from our card. After multiple calls and a few VM messages, we finally heard back that the $100 charge 3 days after we checked out with what we thought was our final receipt, was for "pool towels". I don't remember being told at check-in or anywhere it being listed on the site that we would be charge for pool towels. Hopefully, we will see the credit on our account this month - 4 months after our visit.
I liked agility of the reception desk Team. I was surprised as our bedroom has a shared balcony. I didn't expect that. I made complain and Team was agile to solving that.
We got the bedroom with shared balcony. Actually It was a part of bigger apartment. Fortunately It was not occupied and we got the whole appartment.
De ligging beviel het beste. Het resort ligt aan een mooi strand in een erg mooi gebied en vanaf het resort ben je zo in het centrum van San Diego.
De kamers zijn netjes, maar niet bijzonder.
I haven't been to San Diego in years, but used to stay at the Bahia for a week every summer back in the 60's with my family when I was growing up. Drove down from our house in L.A. We used to have a kitchen, and I learned how to sail in the bay. Loved to visit Sea World and the Zoo. Miss those days!!
There's a lot to enjoy - the grounds were beautiful including the private beach on Mission Bay, awesome views and sunsets, wooded area, pool, water sport rentals, restaurant with outdoor seating. However, the beachfront room was lacking - dated, dark decor, and average cleanliness (bug in sink). Black-out curtains were good for sleeping but left no option for light /filtered privacy (room was a few feet from public walkway). I'd consider returning to the resort for the overall experience, but only if the rooms were updated -- currently it's not worth the high cost.
