Location was amazing
The bed mattresses need to be replaced both beds had “holes” there was massive sinking and indents from prolonged usage.
The staff, each and every one, was friendly, responsive, very welcoming and proactive.
They also upgraded our room.
Super close to lifts, easy EV charging, well equipped kitchen, clean and spacious suite.
We went to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. It was our first time in Whistler and flew in from Miami. As we arrived the lobby doors open and welcome you with the most amazing scent of fresh pine. Our room was on the 4th floor with breath taking valley views. We were greeted with chocolates and a card wishing my daughter a happy birthday. The room was spacious, and impeccably clean. The bed was plush and felt like sinking into a big marshmallow that you sank into after a long day on the slopes. Lobby has delicious hot chocolate with fresh toppings in the afternoons. And finally the private hot tub on the 8th floor is spectacular (make reservations early), and the location can not be beat. Footsteps to the gongolas. If your considering staying at Sundial DO NOT hesitate it’s worth every cent!! Thank you Sundial for making her birthday absolutely perfect! ❤️
One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Staff was incredible and checked in on us throughout the entire stay. They also made sure we knew of all the amenities and made sure we had an amazing stay. Location also cannot be beat with it being directly behind the BC and Whistler Gondolas. Could not recommend this place enough!
Pete is extremely helpful and professional! He also looked out for us and let us know when the hot tub was free due to cancellation. This made us have a wonderful memory of being in a private hot tub on Valentine’s day! I cant thank Pete enough!
Had a great 11 night stay at the Sundial. Right between both gondolas and a lift. They offer free valet ski service which was awesome. The staff was great, especially Connor at the front desk. We had a 2 bedroom suite Mountain View and were able to watch the Fire and Ice show from our room on a Sunday evening. There were 3 restaurants in the hotel which was nice when it was raining. The only downside was the noise outside. Thumping music and people dancing and yelling outside at the Longhorn Bar, but hey we wanted to be close to the gondolas. The hotel provides ear plugs to help with this.
Location: Great location as it is just steps away from the lifts and the main walking stroll in Whistler. Restaurants are all within walking distance. Rooms: We had a one bedroom suite and it was perfect. Well equipped kitchen with an eating area. Also had a living room area. Cleanliness: Very clean apartment that had everything required for a multi day stay. Noise Level: The one thing to be aware of is that our room overlooked the stroll. Great for a week day stay but it might be noisy on a weekend. But the room comes with ear plugs in the event the noise does become loud.
We had a wonderful stay at The Sundial hotel in Jan.26
From booking directly with the Sundial team to shipping our Skis ( from Australia) then having to leave early due to health issues, nothing was a bother.
They have a great team Giorgio, Gemma, Rachel, Kris, Pete, Conor, Ned, Peyton and the wonderful housekeepers.
We were in room 507 - it is over the village so can be very noisy at night!
The room itself is well appointed and very comfortable. I cooked up a few meals.
I would definitely stay again
Excellent staff and location to the ski lifts and best after skiing bars/restaurants in Whistler village. Everyone on staff went out of their way to help and were very friendly. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Did not know about the $45 per day parking fee. I thought that was too much to pay.
Wonderful experience! The hotel had incredible amenities and fabulous service. Conor was very helpful throughout our stay and Pete was able to provide some options when we needed to adjust our travel plans due to weather. Will absolutely stay here again.
Cannot remember how many times I have stayed in this hotel and it amazes me every time. Smooth checkin-checkout experience. Best location in town. Friendly staff. Clean and quiet room. And free EV charging is a bonus.
Perfect location short trip to 3 lifts and resort had everything we needed. Stayed in a mountain view suite. Perfect.
Staff was very friendly and helpful!
Colin was outstanding as were others!
Staff were a bit curt and unwelcoming, making the least bit of effort to greet and process your check-in and check-out. I’d liken their demeaned to our interactions with the border agents from USA and Canada. We were surprised to hear such loud music from our room and when we brought this up with them the curly haired woman said “well, you DID book a mountain facing room”……. For $500+ per night I’d expect a bit more graciousness (unless this is considered a “budget” rate for Whistler village?); no “how was your stay?”, or “safe travels”, or any pleasantries of the sort. The music ended up not being too bad and didn’t hamper sleep, albeit some yelling and shouting from bar goers - with the TV on during waking hours, you can barely hear it. It was the staff that left a bad taste in my mouth and would make me hesitate to book with Sundial again.
We stayed 3 nights at Sundial Hotel Whistler in December 2025, mountain view 2-bedroom suite, with our family (2 teenagers and 1 kid). The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable for all of us. Mountain view was beautiful, especially in the morning with snow. Location is perfect, close to everything in the village and ski area.
We really enjoyed every moment of our stay. Sushi Village on site was very convenient and delicious, our family went there more than once. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, very good experience and we would like to stay here again with our family

The Sundial Boutique Hotel has some clear strengths, but unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations given the $600 USD per night price point.
On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is excellent—right in the heart of the ski village with easy access to restaurants, shopping, ski rentals, and ski lifts. From a convenience standpoint, it’s hard to beat.
However, there were several drawbacks. The rooms were nice but clearly dated, and the heating/air control in our room did not work adequately. We were traveling with another couple who experienced the exact same issue in their room, suggesting this was not an isolated problem.
We were also disappointed with the rooftop hot tub experience. The lighting was inadequate and felt unsafe, and the water appeared to be overchlorinated. Two people in our group experienced itching and rashes afterward, which was concerning.
The hotel manager, Georgio, offered to cover our dinner as a gesture of goodwill. However, when the bill was presented, he declined to cover the full amount, which felt disappointing given the problems we encountered.
In summary, while the Sundial Boutique Hotel has a great location and friendly staff, the dated rooms, unresolved maintenance issues, and safety concerns made the stay fall short of what we expect from a hotel at this price level.
