My wife and I went to Anchorage for the Skinny Raven half marathon. It was a cool (40's), rainy, windy day. But the La Quinta near the airport and race start was great. They have a 3pm late checkout! This was VERY welcome, allowing us a warm shower and change to dry clothes after the race. And we got to watch the end of the World Cup final. Breakfast was good - eggs, sausage, potatoes were tasty. Room was clean and quiet. I couldn't have asked for more.
Excellent room, well equipped. Very nice and helpful staff
We have stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Anchorage several times. It seems each time the property is not being maintained. Overall the rooms are clean, beds comfortable, wifi is good, breakfast is nice. But overall the hotel is showing it's age. Its not in the best of neighborhoods but at no time did we ever feel unsafe. Not sure I would return in future.
The room, bed and bathroom were very nice but the furniture looked used. That took away from the overall satisfaction of the room
Хороший персонал. Чистый номер. Вкусный стандартный завтрак. Все стандартно
Clean and staff was very friendly.
The area surrounding the hotel was not nice.
Location is right by the airport. Check in and check out process was smooth.
They could’ve taken the trash out and redone our beds during our 2 day stay. Trash just piled up although we asked reception to take it out. There’s hardly any place to eat breakfast. We were forced to take it up to our rooms on both days and on day 1 there wasn’t enough food(fruits)
Staff was friendly, shuttle convenient.
Shower in this room appeared to be an ADA bathroom and as a result the wheel chair accessible shower waters could not be contained to the shower. They ponded up on the mail area of the bathroom causing quite a mess. You really should redesign this room to make it more functional and less a mess.
It was convenient. I have no complaints.
I have no complaints.
Very clean, room was good size, staff was very helpful.
Nothing
Great Breakfast and we need a shuttle ride to the airport. The shuttle driver was very good and took us right to the airline we needed. Will definitely stay again if we are in Alaska!
No issues!
Breakfast not great
Good size room. Friendly and helpful staff
Bathtub was very slippery and no where to hold on. Rubber mat provided but still not very safe. Plumbing in room was noisy. We could hear others. Not much area to unload luggage. No gluten free choices for breakfast for my wife.
Not the La Quinta of old. Since Wyndham's acquisition, we've noticed a marked change in the consistency of the brand. They seem to be franchising the brand without the quality or attributes/specifications of the original that resulted in consistency in most locations. The last two we've encountered appear to be older properties in sketchy locations that have been acquired by investment groups, renovated, and branded La Quinta. This hotel is on the main drag to the airport on the way out of the city, in not a particularly attractive area, but not far from the airport. We didn't feel particularly welcome here. They tried to put us on the 1st floor, even tho we’d requested a higher floor, and had booked 8 months ago. Room had been recently renovated, and was well-appointed, with fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable, nice linens and pillows. Tub/shower had no grab bar, so recommend using their rubber mat—no towel bar either. Luggage rack is small. Breakfast area is small—standard LQ breakfast, no plain yogurt, only sweetened. Checkout was slow. Got a nice Greek salad (take-out) at Milano’s Pizzeria, a few blocks away (short walk). We stayed here because our first choice was fully booked a year in advance (likely by cruise lines), but will look elsewhere if we return to Anchorage.
Nothing flashy, but this hotel delivers where it counts. It has free shuttle, free breakfast, clean rooms, and genuinely friendly staff. The room was comfortable and I was happy to find a real bathtub. It stings a little on price, but that seems to be the going rate around here, so La Quinta isn't really the one to blame.
Booked because it had a free airport shuttle. At check in, I requested a ride and was told that it was unavailable at that time because they were taking someone to the train station. One lady asked her coworker if she should give us a voucher for the taxi we needed and he said no.
