What would have been a very average trip for us—just an overnight stay at the old hotel with poor service and unfriendly staff—turned into a terrible experience because of the attitude of the manager and staff. We brought our service animal to breakfast, and she immediately yelled at my wife, saying no pets were allowed. We explained that she is a service animal, but she continued to insist that the local health department did not permit service animals in her restaurant. My wife was embarrassed by all the yelling and simply walked back to the room with our service animal, but I stayed behind and pointed out the law—the federal law—that states there are no exemptions, even if local or state rules say otherwise, which I highly doubt this hotel respects. I confronted the manager, but her attitude and policies changed her stance, and she then claimed that our dog was jumpy, which was completely untrue. While waiting for breakfast, we looked at the food—soggy bacon and overcooked eggs—and decided to check out and leave. This could have just been a no-review kind of stay, a quick stopover on our way back, but of course, the manager ensured we left with this detailed account.

Pros:

Clean, nice classical style, great location, hot tub on patio right outside my door (#239).

Cons:

Liked it a lot, bed was comfortable but pillows were hard. Maybe use a variety.

Great location . Beds comfortable & clean, spacious rooms .

Cons:

Reception staff could be a little more welcoming / informative both on check in & out which was unfortunate as a first time visitor. Customer service is one of key factors to ensure loyalty of guests on their decision to return. My friend & I stayed elsewhere in the town earlier that week, we both commented that it was such a different experience with employees . So please do better , reception is first impression.

Pros:

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at
Pros:

This is the worst hotel I've stayed in, bar none. The rooms were fine but the service and staff was SO bad that it was impossible to enjoy. Someone came into our room BEFORE checkout time, WITHOUT knocking, and didn't even apologize.

Cons:

Checkin was supposed to be at 4pm, which is already incredibly late in my opinion. But they didn't let us into the room until 5:10, with no apology, no reason, and no compensation. On the morning of checkout, someone tried to come in to our room before check out time at 10AM, without knocking, and didn't apologize. They just said "oh, you're still here?" and slammed the door.
