Terrible experience!
Pros:

Do not book a reservation or a wedding block at this hotel. Our entire family’s wedding block of reservations were canceled last minute and many of us didn’t know until we arrived to check-in before the rehearsal dinner.
Still can’t believe this happened to us.
We all had to scramble for alternative arrangements. The bride & groom planned a beautiful wedding weekend and the Residence Inn, Southington CT added so much unnecessary stress!

Canceled my reservation day of
Pros:

My son and his fiancée reserved a block of rooms at your hotel several months in advance for their wedding guests. I booked my room on May 27 and received a confirmation email that same day. Then, on July 6—just five days before my stay—I received a "Ready for Your Stay" email confirming my reservation once again. Having received two confirmations, I had every reason to believe my reservation was secure. It never occurred to me that it could be canceled without my knowledge.
On Saturday afternoon, we drove to Southington expecting to check into the hotel, drop off our luggage, and head to the rehearsal dinner that my husband and I were hosting. Instead, upon arrival, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled. I was told an email had been sent that morning notifying me of the cancellation.
I was completely shocked and extremely upset. At that point, I had no idea that this had happened to anyone else. I explained that the entire reason we booked at the Residence Inn was to stay with our family during my son's wedding weekend. My father and stepmother had also planned to stay there, although I later learned that their reservation had been canceled as well.
When I asked the front desk employee what had happened, I was told there had been a "natural disaster" in the area. I have no idea what this was referring to. While there had been a storm 5 days earlier that caused a temporary power outage, there was no natural disaster occurring anywhere close to the day of our arrival.
The front desk employee suggested that rooms might be available at the Holiday Inn Express. However, because they are not affiliated with the Residence Inn she could not guarantee availability, had no information about pricing, and simply stated that I would receive 90,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
At that moment, I had to leave for the rehearsal dinner, where my husband and I had significant responsibilities as the hosts. While driving to the venue, I checked my email and initially found no communication from the Residence Inn. I immediately called the Holiday Inn Express and was told they had no rooms available. At that point, I was in a complete panic, believing I had nowhere to stay during my son's wedding weekend.
Later, the father of the bride arrived to the rehearsal dinner he shared that the exact same thing had happened to him. He showed me an email from "445 Front Desk." I then checked my junk mail folder and discovered that two cancellation emails—one sent Friday evening and another Saturday morning—had both been filtered there. Considering I had already received two legitimate confirmation emails from Marriott, I had no reason to think I needed to monitor my junk folder for a last-minute cancellation notice.
Fortunately, my husband searched online and was able to book what appeared to be one of the last available rooms in the area through Hotels.com at the Holiday Inn Express. Ironically, despite being told directly by the hotel that there were no vacancies, we were able to secure a room through a third-party booking site.
Unfortunately, the only room available was a single king room. We had originally reserved a room with two beds at the Residence Inn. Since the Holiday Inn Express did not offer cots or rollaway beds, my husband, my 15-year-old daughter, and I were forced to share one king-sized bed for the entire weekend. Given the circumstances, we had no other option. Had this not been my son's wedding weekend, I would never have accepted those accommodations.
To say that I was upset and frustrated is an understatement. What should have been one of the happiest weekends of our family's lives began with unnecessary stress, panic, and uncertainty because a confirmed reservation was canceled at the last minute with virtually no effective notification or meaningful assistance.

No housekeeping, smoke issues, and misleading amenities
Pros:

Stayed four nights in mid-January and was disappointed.

Two nights were affected by marijuana/cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom vent. It was strong enough that I had to sleep with the window open in ~10°F weather. The issue was reported but not resolved.

Housekeeping was never provided despite multiple requests. I was later told I had declined service, which is not accurate.

Breakfast ran out early on two mornings and was not replenished.

The property also advertised an evening social hour, but I was told it is no longer offered.

The hotel feels dated and below typical Marriott standards. Costco did provide a partial refund, which I appreciated.

I would not stay here again. The property feels dated and below typical Marriott standards.

To Costco’s credit, they reviewed my complaint and provided a partial refund.

Based on my experience, this was one of the poorer hotel stays I have had, and I would not return.

Needs facelift.
Pros:

What a nasty hotel in need of a major facelift. It took forever to check in, and then my lock was broken, and the guy let me in, but couldn’t let me use my key and then they have to get a guy to come in to fix the lock in the morning, which meant I had to participate so many wrapping at my door early in the morning Wen, I just wanted to sl

Not the place you want to stay
Pros:

Slept for maybe 3 hours past two nights. If you want sleep don’t stay here. Literally on top of 84. No sound proof windows. Equivalent to sleeping on side of higheay. Listened to trucks. Screeching brakes etc ALL NIGHT LONG AND ALL DAY. Hallways smell like weed. Dark and outdated. Not cleanest hotel. Needs major update.
