The room was clean and tidy but out dated . Electric heater stained . Wall switches old and discoloured. Carpet rippled. Bathroom dated. Condiments chest tackle. View out on to a flat room. I did not feel comfortable in the room and left after 2 hours.
Very clean and comfortable
When I checked into my room, it was either still occupied by another guest or the room want made up. When I approached lady on reception she said how strange, no apologies or anything if the sort. Stayed here about 7 times this year so far, but probably won’t stay again now.
Great hotel
Good overall. Beds are comfortable but rooms are dated and need a refurbishment and by no means have enough plugs especially in places you need them.
The pool is a lovely addition but far too cold.
Didn’t use the gym but looked fully equipped and good. Onsite bar/restaurant is very much of a Wetherspoon type but a lot more expensive. Breakfast is ok but far too expensive. Very friendly and helpful staff and everywhere was clean and tidy. Starbucks on site is a saving grace!
Great stay...went for the Great North Run and not disappointed.
Only thing I'd say was the room service was cold but the hotel was very busy at the time.
Nice place stay regularly
The 1st time ive stayed at this hotel . I was very impressed. On arrival I was greeted at reception and the hotel layout and facilities explained . A lovely modern hotel room , spacious bar and a good variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices . The star of the show for me was the health club. The range of facilities and classes on offer is probably one of the best that I have experienced. Absolutely top class . Followed by a beautiful breakfast the next morning . I will definitely be going back.
No air con in room. But good overall.
Decent hotel. Decent food.
Expensive drinks.
No air con in the rooms is the big down side of this hotel.
We were visiting our family in Whitley Bay .
The hotel was unable to provide a bedsheet for covering at night as temperature both outside and in the room was slightly uncomfortable.
The biggest letdown was that we were informed on the second morning that we will be charged a parking charge of £5 per night . There was no mention of this when we booked , nor were told when we checked in .
Also the rooms need updating . Carpets look dated.
I have stayed in Village hotels all over and this one was by far the worst, unhelpful staff, unclean room, windows that wouldn’t open and unsettling stains on the sheets
Spotless great pool
Staff excellent, breakfast pretty good and the rooms are pretty good too, what let's this hotel down is the fact it has no air conditioning and the rooms are super hot.
Plus thirty degrees in our room with windows that open approximately four inches. The hotel does however provide electric fans to give some comfort though.
Probably will not stay here again.
Rooms although clean were too warm and stuffy. They are in need of a freshen up ovetall
Upon arriving back from an evening out we were unable to have a drink at the bar to finish our night out. As this was 10pm on a Saturday i found it totally unacceptable. No actual bar times are displayed so closure is left to the discretion of the bar manager which is not good enough.
Stayed here before.... Great hotel and facilities. I dont like the self check in but staff always happy to help.
We held our wedding reception yesterday and what can I say but the venue, staff, amenities were absolutely fantastic! Very helpful and attentive staff, nothing was too much bother, ample parking with first four hours free, very clean, comfortable beds, unlimited choices for breakfast, very large pool and hotel was very clean. Would highly recommend! The staff ensured our big day went like clock work 😃
Great hotel. Lovely staff. Rooms could do with some charging points near the beds but other than than they were decent sized, clean and well appointed. In a great location to get to Newcastle or pop over to the Stadium of Light like we did.
As with all village hotels, clean, well maintained, great gym & pool and plenty of breakfast options but £5 charge for carpark means I won't stay here again.
Clean and comfortable modern hotel.
