Cons:

I was told I could leave my vehicle in front of the Hotel for an additional 1 1/2 hours after I checked out. When I returned within that time period, only to find a hefty parking ticket on my windshield.

It was good for the price, but wish they were more on top of cleanliness.

Cons:

They only came for house keeping once in our 6 night stay :( and it was the first night. I had to continuously call the front desk for things like towels — toilet paper. We had to keep all of the dirty towels in the room because they never came and got them

Essence Festival Weekend Stay
Pros:

I liked the location, within walking distance of the convention center and superdome. And I liked the staff, espcially Dianna at the front desk; very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The rooms were a bit small and cramped, my room didn't have a view (which I was not away of during booking), and when I arrived our pillows were stacked in a chair without pillowcases on them.

Horrible tv didn’t work bed was hard asf. And we had NO HOT WATER.

Ok I’ve stayed in many hotels but this hotel the bed was super hard. The hot water never worked and if it did it was only luke warm you know how bad it sucks to take a cold shower. Then the tv wouldn’t work couldn’t catch any channels it was just horrible I would never stay here again ever. We had 2 queen beds and they was both hard as a rock!!

The location was decent- just a few blocks from Canal Street. Lots of places to shop/eat nearby.
Bed was comfortable.
The woman at the front desk was nice and held my bags in storage after checkout (11am on weekends) so I could walk around without all my stuff before heading to my train.

Cons:

I was excited to be on the 7th floor for cool views- unfortunately the coating on the windows was peeling off, making the view difficult to see (room 711).
Initially I could not get hot water, and when I called down to the front desk, they said that this is not the kind of hotel you can just turn the water on and instantly get hot water…I told the girl that I had let the water already run for 15 minutes and didn’t think I should waste anymore. She sent the maintenance man up and he worked on it for 20 minutes- then showed me that I hardly would have to turn it at all to get hot water-so that was good.
Overall, the room was just kind of dirty/dingy.
ith all the cool places to stay in the islands I regretted choosing this one.

Don't rely on images,Disappointing!
Pros:

Front desk after hours was very kind and pleasant.

Cons:

Room was a small box,paint peeling,carpet frayed,windows glazed over so no view. Not what online showed at all. Size was maybe a 12x16 rm,TOTAL...extremely small.....might be ok for an unexpected overnight stay or somebody who's just there to party and gives Zero Fs about where they crash.
