Red Lion Hotel Boise Downtowner

Ac does not work very well it was to warm in the rooms.

Absolutely do not book this hotel. The carpet had questionable stains in the very dim hallway that looked like either vomit, blood, or sauce in a dried up puddle and not cleaned, carpet was taped together and rippled. The room wasn’t any better. Everything was visibly dirty. There were no bed skirts just visible mattresses, only two pillows, not at all what was pictured in the listing. The floor was dirty and badly scratched up, curtains had stains, there was an odd mildew smell throughout, the ceiling was flaking away and stained from what looked like a bad water leak. It was giving horror movie vibes. I didn’t even want to set my stuff down in that filthy room so I immediately went back to the front desk and explained that the room was not at all what was pictured and that everything was visibly dirty. The front desk guy who was just wearing a tee shirt and no name tag stated that there was nothing they could do since I booked through Booking.com. Booking should definitely consider taking this property off of their site. It should not be open to the public. I had to book a different hotel which was very inconvenient and costly.

Everything was out of order or broken. Pool, ice machine, restaurant, laundry service. Nothing was available. Room was filthy. Floors were so dirty the bottom of my feet ere black and im not exaggerating.

Very disappointed that the 2 queen beds that we had reserved was not actually available due to the system allowing the reservation. I had traveled over 4 hours with my 16 year old and 15 year old kids.

Our ceiling was leaking and the balcony door didn’t lock and it was very hot. Trash from long term neighbors sat in the hallway for a long time and stunk up the floor.

Amenities listed which were very important to my reasoning for choosing this hotel were not available and had been unavailable for years according to staff and signage in building

I have never been more disappointed in a hotel. Definitely not what the website looks like. Completely catfished. I went to take my daughter to college and was so excited for the location and the pictures. First of all someone needs to take the trash out! The front entry walk way the trash was overflowing the entire 3 days I was there. It was never emptied! Overflowing all over the sidewalk. Secondly the hallways have duct tape on the carpet, so gross. The TV in the room did not work, we had a patio on our room, covered in trash, so we just closed the curtains and didn't even go out. We thought we would go to the pool, went that evening and it looked like a party was going on, men drinking beer listening to music, so we left. The next day we went back to the pool and to my surprise the pool was filled with mold and moss, could not even get in! There was a large knife on the table, one lounge chair that was ripped and broken and again an over flowing trash can full of beer cans and like 3 BBQ grills, Im assuming people live there. Neither of the two restaurants were open to even eat on location. I tried calling the front desk several times, no answer. When I let the front desk know he never even asked for my room number. I have never felt so gross staying somewhere in my life. I looked for another room and everything was booked because of college move in. If anyone is reading this DO NOT STAY AT THE RED LION INN BOISE. So GROSS!!!
