Location was close to river and nice places, Red lion is old and run down

staff was friendly

Cons:

Homeless population in parking lot, sleeping on sidewalk, not enough lighting in parking lots, police all day in the lobby for some reason, I never felt safe even in my room. I would not take the stairs for safety reasons. Pool dirty and windows in lobby , pool unlocked to outsiders. lock not working

Booking execs: review this property personally and take the elevator to the 6th floor. I dare you.
Pros:

Position in Boise for exploring
Soft comfortable bed
Good shower

Cons:

Run down.
Elevator sounds like the pulley bearings are going out. Cables grind. Scary.
Took the stairs more than once.
Hallway carpet is ancient, torn,wet and reeks.

For the location and it being a red lion the price was right on.

We would not choose to stay here again. The only good thing was the view.
Pros:

We really enjoyed the view.

Cons:

The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. Cobwebs on the inside of the windows. And dust everywhere

Don't do it!
Pros:

Staff was very nice.

Cons:

The whole hotel smelled of musty cigarettes. The shower had hairs in the drain and on the walls. We rented a room with the jetted bathtub and the jets did not work, which is why we wanted that room. Not to mention the water when filling the tub before I found out they didn't work was brownish orange, it looked like pee water. The furniture was extremely outdated and stained.

TV did not work, no A/C or fan and the window wouldn’t open up. The microwave was not plugged in and the cord wouldn’t reach to even be plugged in.

When we arrived they couldn’t find my booking so I had to pay again, there was no TV in the room we checked into and in the morning there was absolutely no hot water from the shower or even the faucet in the bathroom. I would have rather slept in my car.
