Great again!
Pros:

The hotel was as friendly as ever, particularly at the excellent Reception Desk. The gentleman there was super personable and immaculately professional. I also liked the breakfast experience at the restaurant. It was certainly a cut above in terms of dining out in Palmerston North.

Creepy and terrible food!
Pros:

Bed was comfy.

Cons:

Restaurant food was terrible, took my burger back up as it was inedible - wasnt offered a refund. Tasted old and reheated. And I am not a fussy guy! Also paid for breakfast and they bacon tasted like nothing Ive ever eaten, left it untouched. The whole place had super creepy vibes also.

Pros:

Karma at the front desk was excellent. He went over and beyond to help us when one of our friends left behind a bag. He was also extremely helpful at check out.

Room good, breakfast great, butchers majority of staff need training in public relations
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. Check in staff member was totally bored and disinterested. Receptionist at breakfast gave the impression she had just got out of bed and didn't really want to be there. At time of checking out the man was very pleasant, obliging and reflected the image the hotel should be proud of.

Cons:

Upon checking in it was a case of; here's your room number and here's your card, and now off you go!
Anything else I needed to know generated blunt answers.

Cons:

They should have told us when booking that no services over Xmas period whilst bar open for a few hours and you could get bar meal and breakfast the service was not as good as usual but it was not a destination. No services so you had to ask for stuff and clean your own room so a little let down. They should state on booking no services and you could choose to go there or not.
