Excellent stay
Pros:

Excellent location-next to the museums, shops and restaurants-great facilities, large rooms with comfy bed and a beautiful terrace to have breakfast or drinks. The lady from the concierge was lovely and suggested us great places to visit.

Great location but expensive hotel
Pros:

Stayed during the Rugby finals weekend. The location of the hotel is within a 20 minute walk to the stadium. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The old town area is also walkable. The staff are excellent with most speaking excellent English. The bread buffet is superb with nice quality ingredients. The hotel was very busy due to the rugby but the staff remained professional and ensured everything operated to a high standard.

Cons:

This is an expensive hotel and our stay was a four figure amount per night! The hotel does not have a swimming pool. It did not feel like value for money but I suppose with 50,000 people visiting Bilbao they can charge what they like. If you have mobility issues beware the strange slates wood floor in the shower area.
