My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at The Artist Hotel! Perfectly located in Bilbao with some of the best views of the Guggenheim, it is a wonderful place to anchor yourself in the heart of metropolitan Basque Country.
The staff were incredibly friendly, eager to share what makes Bilbao special, and made us feel right at home.
The room itself was spacious, with great air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a bathroom that was equally spacious and well appointed. While the room is not the most up to date, it was very well maintained and clean.
The hotel breakfast, located on the 7th floor with sweeping views of the Guggenheim and Bilbao, offers both a buffet and a breakfast menu. I would stick to the fresh squeezed orange juice and skip the espresso-based drinks, since they come from a machine. The buffet had a nice range of meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, and breads, while the breakfast menu offered a wide selection to complement it.
We also enjoyed aperitivo on the terrace, which was lovely! The drinks were great, and the portions were generous.
Overall, I would highly recommend The Artist Hotel for anyone visiting Bilbao.
Premium location, friendly helpful staff and wonderful breakfast
Nothing
Lage ist toll, Zimmer sind sehr schön und mit allem gut ausgestattet.
Preis für ein Zimmer nach innen ist doch recht hoch.
The Art of True Hospitality..
There are hotels that offer luxury, and then there are hotels that offer something much rarer: genuine hospitality.
Our stay at The Artist Grand Hotel of Art has been unforgettable from the very first moment. Every detail was thoughtful, elegant and deeply personal. The beautiful welcome letter, the special dessert inspired by Anatolia, the wonderful room, and the constant feeling of being sincerely cared for made us feel far more like welcomed guests than customers.
Our heartfelt thanks to Sandra Vázquez, whose warmth, grace and exceptional attention transformed our stay into a truly memorable experience. Thank you also to Berta at Reception for her kindness and professionalism, to Ángel Luis Díaz Guerrero, General Manager, for creating a culture where genuine hospitality is clearly valued, and to Executive Chef Abel Corral for a beautiful culinary gesture that perfectly connected Bilbao with Anatolia.
The Artist is much more than a beautiful hotel overlooking the Guggenheim. It is a place where art, elegance and humanity come together effortlessly.
We will leave Bilbao with wonderful memories, and many of them will belong to this remarkable hotel.
Thank you for making us feel so genuinely welcome.

Perfect location. Staff were exceptionally helpful, and we appreciated the convenience of the onsite valet parking. We appreciated the daily maid service and the little treats they brought each day.
Not much to dislike. The room was great but there was a bit of a musty smell from the shower. We ate one meal on the terrace, but found the food mediocre, especially for the price.
Excellent location for the city and for the Guggenheim museum and old town.
Nothing comes to mind.
This was my second stay on this trip and I picked a room facing the Guggenheim Museum. Made a huge difference versus the inner facing room that I was placed in earlier during the week. Worth paying the extra 100 Euro!!!!
A bit pricy but you get what you pay for.
What was there not to like. I have spent many nights in top grade hotels worldwide, all due to my career with a worldwide employer. The Artist ranks right up there as far as I am concerned. Faultless.
This is the easiest part of the review..nothing!
My family of 4 had two connecting rooms for a family suite on our recent trip. I have been wanting to see Puppy in front of the Guggenheim for 20+ years, and the view from our rooms did not disappoint. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly, and our rooms were well appointed. The Mariscal paintings throughout the hotel were a lovely touch. I inadvertently lost my wedding band during our stay and the staff found it and were able to ship it to our next hotel so I didn't need to leave Spain without it. You can't put a price on that kind of service, I'm incredibly grateful!
Zimmer und Empfang. Sauberkeit! zweimal täglich wurden die Betten hergerichtet!
Wir mussten zweimal reklamieren, da das TV-Gerät nicht funktionierte. Wurde aber beide Male sofort in Ordnung gebracht
