That the pool was heated and the was a hot tub

Enjoyed our room, had easy parking, very good breakfasts that changed a little each day.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, location was fairly good. We walked to the beach once, but it was not a short walk. Room was spacious, with a couch, office chair and desk, along with a microwave and frig.

Cons:

Some corners and edges of the room were not clean.

UPDATE 2/22:
We received a phone call from the manager Ann and she stated it was her that had answered that night. She apologized and we accepted her apology and appreciated her reaching out. She also offered to comp us a room for a night, discount our next stay and gave us her cell number. We let her know we weren't ready to book just yet but we'd definitely be in touch with her as soon as we knew as I was wanting to go for my birthday at the end of February. We have called her cell phone, left a voicemail, left messages with the hotel and have received no response back. We're fine with it, but as a result, less motivated to give this place another try. We were going to have multiple families book here with us, but we'll be looking at other properties for my birthday weekend.

I called this hotel Friday, Jan. 16 about 430 am after I got off work just to ask if cash was acceptable for the $150 deposit (I read that a deposit was now needed from other guests' reviews and the email I received from booking.com). I got told a CC or cash was fine, then got lectured from the woman who picked up the phone that she was sleeping and not to call that late. I've never had anyone in all the time I've been staying here be so rude to me. When I got there I didn't even need a deposit. The gentleman with the red hair and beard was pleasant, professional and courteous. The heated spa is always why we come to this establishment. The pool was not very heated like it usually is. We've stayed when it was in the 30's at night and it was much warmer than it was during our stay. The heating element must not be working well now, so be aware of this if you're looking to stay during the cold season. My daughter and I got sick from the room.

Horrible check in experience, roaches

Great location- 5 minute drive to the beach. Probably because it's winter but the price was dirt cheap.

Read the other reviews too, my experience is almost identical to some of the other reviews here. Before I made the reservation, I called in advance to make sure I can check in around 2 am since I planned this last minute at night. The guy on the phone said yes. Another person who reviewed on here shared the same exact experience: When I arrived around 2 am the lobby was locked with the lights off and it said for emergencies to call 911. I called the property and a lady answered very cranky questioning why I am checking in at 2 am. When she opened the door to let me in she continued questioning me even though I told her that one of her employees told me I could over the phone. While checking in, she rushed the process didn't have me sign anything and just made more comments and questions about me coming this late. The next morning she saw me exiting my room and asked me to take time out of my plans and sign papers she forgot to have me sign the night before. I went to the lobby to sign the papers and the guy who told me I could check in that late on the phone was there and aparently there was talk about me because he knew exactly who I was. He accused me of hanging up on him and not giving him time to explain some late check in process- which none of that happened by the way. Now about the room: The was a couple dead roaches just like another review on here stated, the floor was very greasy. My feet would slide around throughout my whole stay. It wasn't slippery or unsafe it just grossed me out wondering why the floor would be greasy like that. The buttons on the toilet had green thick stains on them that looked like tooth paste. That employee and I kept crossing paths and he always looked at me like I am some huge Karen or something when I really am just a 22 yr old patient guy who travels solo.

It was a great stay all around. The staff and room were great.

We had a great stay! Come check it out for yourselves!

Staff was Amazing, hotel was comfortable, size of the room was big, location is great, Port Arnasas has a little of everything you might need while there, beaches are super close by either walking or driving, close dive bar called Kody's with Amazing food across the street, on location you can see Alligators which was super cool to see...all in all we were super impressed there for sure and hope we can get back again!

Cons:

Are room wasn't that clean and paint splatter was all over, bed wasn't that good, and pillows aren't that great. All in all though we'd definitely come back again for a stay in the future.
