Fab hotel - so glad we booked!
Pros:

Really great hotel,easy access to the metro, rooms were a good size. Pool wasn’t heated but we still enjoyed it! Breakfast was much better than expected (ignore the bad reviews!) not sure what more you could want. Fresh bread, meats, cheese, hot options, salmon, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastries and fresh juices. Staff were absolutely lovely especially the lady who checked us in late at night. Gave lots of local tips on places to see. Only downside was on a hot day there really wasn’t enough sun loungers to go around and the bath tub was a small size (but the shower was amazingly powerful!) big shout out to Ronnie the barman too who made some delicious cocktails and was super nice!

niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Oef, wij verbleven hier begin augustus 2026 1 nacht, en dat is prima.
Maar eind augustus verbleven wij hier 2 nachten en dat was niet naar wens.
Het ontbijt is op zondag tot 11 uur. Tussen 11 uur en 12 uur kun je in dit hotel geen koffie of thee krijgen/kopen. De ontbijtzaal is gesloten en de kiosk bij het zwembad gaat pas om 12 uur open. Tussen 11 en 12 uur is er geen mogelijkheid voor een kop koffie of thee, terwijl er overal koffiemachines staan die niet gebruikt mogen worden. Geen bar, geen punt om koffie te halen, geen restaurant, niet op de kamer, niet in de ontbijtzaal, nergens niet. De dame achter de receptie die er werkte op zondag 23 augustus 2026 om 11.30 uur is niet vriendelijk, behulpzaam en al helemaal niet gastvrij: ze vertelde dat Sercotel geen all inclusive hotel is waar je de hele dag koffie kunt krijgen. Ik heb geen idee waarom ze daar over begon want ik ben juist blij dat we niet in een all inclusive hotel zaten. Daarnaast wilden we koffie kopen. Ze vertelde dat we dan maar in onze badkleding naar buiten moesten lopen, naar de overkant van de straat om koffie te halen. In een 4 sterren hotel??
Of je zorgt dat de kiosk een uur eerder open gaat, óf je zorgt dat er een bar open is óf je zorgt dat er een punt is waar je koffie kunt kopen. Dit sloeg nergens op voor een 4 sterren hotel en hebben wij nog nergens ter wereld meegemaakt.
Daarnaast heb ik van voren contact gehad met de receptie over de openingstijden van het zwembad (ik doe een printscreen van het gesprek hier bij). Ze gaven door: van 10 tot 21 uur. Wat blijkt als je er bent: tussen 14 en 15 uur gaat het zwembad dicht. Reden: er is dan geen lifeguard aanwezig. Pardon?! Die was heel vaak niet aanwezig! Ook daar heb ik meerdere foto's van. En als hij/zij wel aanwezig was, zagen we ze vaak op hun telefoon waardoor de 'veiligheid' in het gedrang kwam. Dus dat uur slaat helemaal nergens op en is bijzonder irritant.
Al met al: voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar.
