Drapes didn’t close. Staff friendly

The room was is horrible shape - The room only had half of the curtains so we could not cover the window fully to sleep; the television did not work properly - only two channels would tune in, the telephone did not work so we could not call for assistance with the television, and the bathroom door strangely had a self-closing mechanism installed so when you entered the bathroom the door would hit you if you are not careful. When notifying the staff they offered no apology or solution except the change rooms with no guarantee another room would have similar problems. In fact, the front desk told me to hit the "red reset" button on the TV and she said occasionally guests could resolve the TV issue this way - after 10 minutes of wasting our time, we determined the TV had no such button. Clearly, the TV issue was pervasive and had not been addressed. Likewise, the icemaker was not working either we were told - come to find out it had even been removed from our floor so clearly maintaining the properly in any fashion was NOT a priority.

Filty rooms. I wiped the door handles and my wipe was nasty. By the time I finished cleaning the remote and light switches it was black. The floors were grimy. The tub was so nasty, we had to put the bath rug inside it to stand on it.
AND there was no housecleaning. You had to go to the front desk for fresh towels.
If it was earlier and rooms nearby avaliable, we would have switched hotels and eaten the money we put down.

The fitness room closed for renovation. No ice machines avaliable. We were able to get a "bag" of ice. One per day with enough to fill our travel cups.

The evening desk clerk was very rude. The dining attendant was more concerned about smoking her cigarettes, 3 in 45 minutes.
Thankfully the other desk clerk was quite nice.
Even the outside was was in need of care.
Sure wish the reviews were posted earlier for this place. Certainly not worth the small savings.

Very good

This was quite literally the most disgusting hotel property i have ever seen. It does a disservice to the brand name. The parking lot was in need of repair, the lobby and room smelled badly, carpets were deplorable. Walked into room to find one bed was visibly lower than the other. Discovered the base under it was broken. So we were given a room with a broken bed even though they were nearly empty by the number of cars parked in the lot (less than 10 cars). Killed a bug iwithin 5 minutes of entering. Surfaces was visible not cleaned.

We left without staying and the hotel refused to refund me. The property needs to be closed down. It is unfit for anyone. Drive to Weirton and stay somewhere santitary and with a functional bed.

Was kind of run down and areas were blocked off for construction? There was no staff working at night which could be a serious issue. Definitely not worth the money spent.

Easy check in; good breakfast selection; clean room

1. Cleanliness: After my shower in the morning, I walked back into the room in my bare feet and sat down on the bed and my feet were filthy, despite having *just* showered.

2. We were on the 1st floor and we could not shut the curtains. There were only sheers over the window itself and a bright spotlight just outside the room/window. I had to clip the curtains with a binder clip to block out the light AND so that no one could see in.

I wanted to report these items to them on the way out, but there was not a soul to be found at the front desk.

The room was comfortable aside from those things, but I'm not sure I'd go back.

No cups in the room and no ice machine anywhere!

Room was in need of a good cleaning

I appreciate very much this hotel is truly pet friendly.

I understand the hotel is going through some renovations and that’s good news. Breakfast is very good and has extended hours over the weekend.

The only issue in the room was that one of the night stand tables was dirty. It’s dark wood so it’s hard to see but a coffee must have spill and it was all sticky. Also the fabric on the headboard was ripped and I had to take a picture and bring it to the attention of reception staff so we wouldn’t be charged for it.

The young lady who checked me in was very nice. She greeted me very quickly. I asked for a first-floor room which she accommodated me. When i entered my room it had a horrible smell almost like it had been a smoking room at some point. I was in room 101. There were multiple people smoking outside by the far entrance and i wonder if my AC unit pulled smoke in. The carpet in the room felt very dirty. I ended up leaving my shoes on the entire time i was there until i went to bed.
The breakfast in the morning my first morning was ok. the area was clean and presentable. The second morning the young lady who worked there seemed very agitated. She was filling the plasticware and there were multipe people who were waiting to get a plate and get their food. She did not have the presence that she was holding guests up whatsoever. I was trying to get to my meeting in downtown and eventually just grabbed a muffin and left.

Overall the facility needs an update. I attempted to contact expedia to cancel my second night and stay somewhere else. I was told they would charge for the second night since it was not before Sept 1st. I did not want to put my company out a second night of charges somewhere else otherwise i would have went somewhere else. I do not have high expectations as long as i feel sanitary measures have been taken. I frequent this area for my job and i could never stay here again unless i hear some really big changes occured.

Property is undergoing renovations to make it nicer. Staff is excellent and friendly, convenient location, comfortable beds for a hotel

cockroach in the room (took picture) got a terrible rash on my legs from whatever they have on their sheets or whatever they wash them with. workout room closed, internet very spotty, etc

I went to three (3) rooms because I was dissatisfied and each bed appeared to have been slept in and one of the toilets didn’t flush. I finally had to settle for the third room because I was late for a family reunion event. The floors/carpet were grimy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The microwave had food particulate in it. Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had!

Beds are very comfortable

The room was gross, mold on the bathroom ceiling, gunk all over the bathroom floor, mildew on the shower basin. The room smelled like weed. The kitchen was closed, so no breakfast. They said they notified hotels.com but that didn’t happen. The gym and pool were also closed as well as the ice machines. They also closed off the dining area to people who wanted to bring in food so you had to eat in your room. Every time I went to the counter to get pre packed mini ice bags, the front desk was closed. When they were there, they were very unfriendly. Our queen size beds had king mattress protectors so the sheets fit awkwardly- every time we rolled over the sheets popped off. I have stayed here six times in the past two yrs but it has gotten worse and worse and I won’t do it again.

Hotel has become a dump. My room was disgusting and filtby with stains everywhere.

Wish you served breakfast

Check in employee was helpful and pleasant. Disappointed at lack of any sort of breakfast, despite this being advertised on their site when reservation was made. At a minimum could have offered a basic "bag to go"
Floor of bathroom could have been cleaner.
