Got to the room and it was like going into a fridge, heating hadn't been on and as we were literally checking in, changing to go out, so not pleasant, maintenance man put a couple of heaters in, he managed to get heating working, when we got back room still cold, it could have been worse had he not put these in, obviously problem with heating system.

Fabulous weekend

Before I mention the food. I just want to say the service from Lottie was second to none. She was very attentive and a great hostess.

The food, I'm sorry, but this wasn't great. The price we paid, we expected a lot better. I asked for a medium rare steak and it was more medium well done and dry. It also didn't come with the butter as mentioned.
The mixed seafood was tiny, was more of a tapas, luckily we ordered chips as a side which made it more of a meal. I don't believe the quality of food matches your price. We were thankful for Lottie, thanks again.

Disappointing
Pros:

Reception service incredibly poor, given incorrect info, very slow, night reception man described his colleague to me as "that Asian woman is useless" which was unprofessional n borderline racist.

When I asked where the party i was attending would be she acted like I was mad and I had to insist there was a 50th there for her to go check!! Genuinely had me concerned I'd booked the wrong hotel or date.

Why hide a kettle in a cupboard disguised as a drawer???!! Multiple guests for this party have said they didn't find them n receptionist say hot water is in corridors!? Keeping a Mancunian from a brew is a guaranteed way to get poor reviews! Lol!

Room comfortable but bathroom unclean. I have a photo of a vent with at least a weeks worth of dust on it. I have been a day guest previously at your spa but if you can't clean one small bathroom properly I'm definitely not coming back to your spa! Stainless steel dispensers shouldn't have stains on!

Not well maintained, I accept scuffs n marks will occur but there was a chunk of plaster missing that hadn't even been painted over. The window had been left cracked open so was freezing on arrival.

My personal peeve in hotels- no spare blanket or sheets provided! As a woman of a certain age I can get very hot n sweaty at night n like an alternative to a thick quilt. Calling reception at 3am and hoping they can bring one isn't a solution.

Nothing in room stating full restaurant opening hours?? Just when its busiest! (No wonder those are busiest if they are only times you advertise as open)

Breakfast was good but waited over 10 minutes for a poached egg that was then hard boiled inside! I get you are a spa but I don't think its unreasonable to ask people to be dressed in the restaurant. There was a woman in nothing but a robe n everytime she bent over the buffet her mammories were hanging out!! I don't need that at 8am thanks

I mentioned my disappointment to a supervisor during the evening who said they were the restaurant manager and they would pass on my comments so the reception manager could speak to me at check out. No one did.

I filled in a feedback questionnaire with all these comments. It said someone from the hotel would be in touch. No one has.

Great experience
Pros:

Lovely time at the cottons for a spa day, spa was very clean and good facitilies. ,we had a fabulous meal, gorgeous food and lottie was very welcoming and a great waitress would love to return
