No huge issues but definitely not what I expected from a Hampton Inn.
Pros:

Location was good. Large shower although without any shelving at all. Good AC.

Cons:

Breakfast was just ok and needed more attention to things running out. TV was knocked out both nights while it rained. No good communication with staff about cleaning. Seemed understaffed as a whole.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Washington, NC, and had a genuinely great experience from start to finish. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a long day.
What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service—especially from Anthony at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, he was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. He made check-in quick and easy, answered all my questions with patience, and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s rare to come across someone who takes that much pride in their work, and it definitely made a lasting impression.
The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the overall environment felt safe and well cared for. Breakfast was also a nice bonus, with plenty of options to start the day off right.
If you’re staying in Washington, NC, I’d highly recommend this Hampton Inn. Great accommodations paired with standout customer service—especially thanks to Anthony—make it a place I’d happily return to.
