Great breakfast, the rooms have heating which I really appreciated. Staff is welcoming and gives you advice in anything you need. Perfect rooms if you need to work with your laptop for example.
It is a bit far from the city center but still close enough. I didnt find it as a problem.
Nice hotel, clean, good breakfast
Location
No me gusto nada
Decent location, walkable to things north side of the park, felt safe during the day.
Terrible customer service. I arrived at 230am due to a 3-hour flight delay from Cochabamba. You’d think the concierge would have some sympathy for that. My credit and debit cards didn’t work at the hotel, which was clearly the hotel’s problem because I had used the cards just fine all over Bolivia already. I suggested I pay for the first night in cash and get the rest tomorrow, but he said he couldn’t do that, all payment had to be made first night because of “policy”. So if I couldn’t find enough cash in my bag, I’d have to go out on the street and get a bunch of money from an ATM at 3am in the morning, in a neighbourhood dangerous enough that the hotel itself locks its front door at night. If I hadn’t been able to scrape together every last Boliviano I had by dipping into my emergency funds (which then screwed me up for next day planned activities), I guess he would have put me out on the street? A real jerk, in other words.
Then I get up to the room and it’s dingier than the web photos suggest, and the bed pillows are square couch pillows, bizarrely. Even better, there’s human hairs on them, so they clearly weren’t washed. As far as noise, the structure of this hotel seems to be built to conduct sound, rather than suppress it - you can hear every neighbour's door, flush, etc. as if it’s happening in your room.
And the final insult? They charge you to hold your bag on checkout day while you go do tourist stuff. I literally don’t think I’ve seen a hostel or hotel do that.
Desayuno variado y bueno
