Not my type of place. Rustic is polite for older and very very dated. Had morning buffet breakfast. Fully priced but adequate at best. Rooms clean but irca 1960.
Friendly staff. Sharon and Chester were Amazing. Well done. Pool and hot tubs clean and warm .
Food better than expected, diner in particular was excellent. Friendly helpful dining room staff, just in need of some help.
Rooms tired and a paint job and new shower curtains is not nearly enough.
Sauna and steam shower out of service. No towel service.
Mentioned to staff about a glass that fell behind desk and broke on our first day there, it was still there when we left. The buildings, property and staff just need some help to call this a “resort”.
friendly staff, nice rooms, spectacular views nice restaurant. Great place to go if you want to get out of the rush of the city and into the quiet of nature
Quiteness of being on the river.
The trail needs attention for safety.
Beautiful location, friendly staff. Right on picturesque river Liscomb.
We stopped here for 3 nights at the end of our month's holiday. The location is stunning so peaceful.
The staff here are so friendly and helpful but the actual hotel and accommodation is not the best. When walking around the property the buildings need repairs, they're quite shabby. Our room initially looked lovely, however in the fridge was the previous guests left over food, the toilet flush was broken. What really annoyed us was that the room was not serviced at all during our 3 night stay....beds not made, towels not changed, bins not emptied, coffee/tea not replenished..when checking out we commented about this and were told it was the new management's policy not to clean rooms....you got the opinion that staff were not happy about this either. The hiking trails were poorly kept...the suspension bridge on 1 trail was insafe and not in use and the general grounds were quite untidy. We were really disappointed with this hotel...its not like the slick photos on line its very tired and worn out. On our months travel we would return to all the lodges and hotels we stayed in but not this one...it was a big disappointment
Nice place to stay on the River and we had a lovely evening cruise Lester and he was most entertaining.Great breakfast and coffee in the morning.
Dining experience was excellent. Great food, great staff!
Staff were wonderful and very pleasant. Cabin was great
The scenery is stunning, the food is good and the staff are really helpful. The rooms are comfortable. However, a lot of it needs updating in particular the pool and (in our room) the bathroom.
That said it’s a great place to stay for a few days or as a stopover on a tour.
There are no lifts but plenty of parking.
Great views Very nice property and location
Excellent supper.
The view was great, with seals fishing right in front of our window, as the river water met the ocean. Excellent
So far so good
.
Awesome!
Staff at rexeotion were indifferent and unheloful.the room we had booked was be t door to a roudy group functions sound proofing was so poor they might as well been partying in our room. Beds were too soft. Worst slerp ever
I stayed at Liscomb Lodge in the past, when there was a cabin dedicated to a games room. We had a blast! Since then, it has been moved to a room inside a separate building. The equipment was barely usable, if at all. And because there was a wedding that evening, it was too packed to even access it. This was a big disappointment. We had to rent a bbq for $25, instead of each cabin having its own, as many facilities do. The swimming pool/hot tub/sauna building is in need of a major facelift. The hiking trails haven't been groomed in a while, which made it less enjoyable.
On the positive side, we enjoyed kayaking/paddle boarding for free. And we went on the boat tour with Chester. He educated us on the local history and provided us with a fabulous experience.
Overall, itnwas a "so so" experience.
We loved the boat tour with Chester Rudolph!
He is very knowledgeable about the history of the area.
The staff are lovely and very accommodating.
Falsely advertising the chalet to be 650 sq. ft., but we were given a chalet that is no more than 250 sq ft. When we inquired, the lady at the front desk just said, "how would expedia know the square footage of our chalets?" We did find larger chalets on the other side of the road which might fit the description, but we did not get one of those. We were offered an even smaller room, water front, but it was over the storage shed, which would have meant hourly staff in and out from under us. The pool and hot tub area had considerable mold around stairs, and in the grout under water. The bathroom facilities were not cleaned thoroughly, there were lots of bugs, nests and webs which the cleaner didn't seem to be bothered to remove. We were charged $159.60 the day we left. We were not contacted for details of this charge and still waiting to hear back the reason. We moved the desk to the window, the chair, and put the microwave on the shelf to make more space, since we didn't use it and we needed the desk space for personal items. There was no shelf for storage, nor hooks anywhere to hang items. The two small closets had limited hangers, but horizontal surfaces for food items, toiletries, etc, was gravely missing. We had hoped to hike during our stay, but due to forest fires that was not allowed, so activities were limited. The staff was very responsive when we needed additional blankets because it was very cold at night and towels because there were only two for the four of us.
