Our very first visit to Udaipur became an unforgettable, heart-warming memory, and Taj Fateh Prakash Palace played a huge role in that. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the charm, calm, and royal elegance that makes this city so special. The hotel’s prime lakeside location on Lake Pichola offers stunning views and a serene, pristine atmosphere that makes you slow down, breathe, and truly soak in the moment.
The palace is beautifully maintained and radiates timeless heritage, but what made our stay truly emotional and memorable was the genuine warmth of the staff. We never once felt like guests — we felt cared for. A heartfelt thank you to Front Desk Manager Ms. Sujata Pandey, whose gracious presence and thoughtful assistance made our stay effortless and special.
Our dining experiences were equally wonderful, thanks to Sumona and Mahipal, whose kindness, attentiveness, and warm smiles made every meal feel personal. Special appreciation to Sous Chef Kartick Das for his exceptional culinary skills and lovely interactions, which added a delightful personal touch.
Leaving was the hardest part — we truly did not feel like coming back. Taj Fateh Prakash gave us memories we will cherish forever and set the perfect tone for our love affair with Udaipur. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a soulful, luxurious heritage stay.

The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning.The property tour was very knowledgeable .we enjoyed our stay in this property.

Lovely property by the lake within the city palace complex. Extremely attentive staff. Good breakfast and restaurant. Pricey by Indian standards but not by American standards. High quality amenities in the room. My massage was great

The location by the city palace was excellent and also directly adjacent to the lake. It was beautiful inside and our lake view room was excellent. The food in the sunset terrace restaurants was excellent and so was the breakfast.

I've been at various Taj properties - Taj Santacruz, Taj Chandigarh, Surajkund, and Fateh Prakash now. I really had a great time, wonderful memories, a blissful and welcoming experience! Loved the people and hospitality. I would especially like to mention Ms Taniya Baroliya and Ms Maithili ❤️for being so welcoming and giving us a seamlessly property experience with their kind and welcoming gesture! Mr. Mayur was out tour guide to e bike ride who gudied us through out our way to Pichola lake, sharing the history behind the lake, doodh talab, Karni mata mandir and other places around, he was such a good person and took care of our overall time and safety. The dining experience at Sunset Terrace was splendid! I don't remember the name of the attendant/chef who took care of our order, but I'd like to apprentice how he shared the story behind Dal Bati choorma while serving. Please convey my message to him (he was in specs with blue and white kurta uniform), last but not the least, a beautiful and one of the best experiences on the boat ride to Lake pichola and Jag Mandir with Mr. Nitin, his presence and the explanation of the history behind the heritage and palaces made the boat ride even more better! (aura points of witty sense of humor). I am sure I'd be visiting the place again whenever I'm in Udaipur next time ❤️

It was truly a wonderful experience . i loved everything about the hotel- the serene atmosphere , comfort of the stay and the impeccable services.The staff was extremely courteous and attentive making me welcomed throughout my stay. Overall it was a memorable and wonderful experience.

If you go to Udaipur stay at The Taj Fateh Prakash . It has everything - the best ambience , great service , beautiful poolside restaurant .To top it all Kailash makes the best Mojitos !

L’hotel è all’interno si una parte del palazzo reale, situato direttamente sul lago. La nostra camera aveva la vista sul lago e sul Taj lake palace, bellissimo panorama. Pulizia eccellente e letto molto comodo. La zona è molto sicura in quanto l’accesso è riservato esclusivamente ai clienti dell’hotel. Abbiamo potuto passeggiare tranquillamente di sera e ammirare il piazzale del City Palace illuminato e deserto.
Il prezzo pagato non è proprio economico, ma la pozione e la vista valgono la cifra spesa e fanno sì che il soggiorno si trasformi anche in una indimenticabile esperienza.
Personale gentilissimo, come del resto in quasi tutti gli hotel in India.

I had a great stay with the property. Mr. Bhagirath was a great help and helped me during my stay with great enthusiasm. All his team was great. Restaurant Staff was also very good. Every team member was ready to help. Overall it was a great stay and everyone is recommended to choose the property to make their vacation good. Mr. Parth was also a great help.

Taj Fateh Prakash is excellent in every sense of the word. We were celebrating 50th birthday of a friend. The hotel staff went over and above with their efforts for special celebrations. Complimentary cake at lunch, and then at afternoon tea, a specially insta-photo friendly decorated area for another cake cutting, Room was decorated with flowers, balloons. The special touches went on and on all around the stay.

Location of the hotel is par excellence, right on the lake with the palace experience. Food at the new opened Zhen Zhu was great. The chef accommodated all requests for menu changes.

The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. We had arranged our airport pick ups through Taj, which was operated efficiently and smoothly. Drivers are very professional
In summary, a special shout out to, Sandeep as manager, Taniya at front desk, Yogendra at both restaurants are setting sky high stds of care and hospitality for all guests.

Superb and an extra ordinary experience .. Mr Uttam at the sunset terrace restaurant, played a beautiful flute during morning breakfast.. the view is mesmerizing & breathtaking.. the palace is one of its kind .. truly beautiful stay
