The grounds, the food, the welcome drinks, the special surprise in our room as we celebrated 20yrs anniversary. Oh and the app was pretty good to request services and other things. And the coconut jam - omg, delicious! I bought a jar from the hotel as it was delicious!
It was a shame the infinity swimming pool was closed for maintenance - although we did have access to the other beautiful swimming pool and we loved it

Главный минус весь отпуск 2 недели был закрыт основной бассейн. По приезду нас предупредили что работы будут проводится до 21 мая, но по итогу мы уезжали 29 и он был все ещё на ремонте. Хотя на время ремонта были представлены бонусы от отеля в виде бесплатных трансферов в Чавенг и Фишермен виладж, так же скидки на алкоголь и еду, бесплатное использование сауны. Но все равно впечатление было немного подпорчено.

Unfortunately, we found the hotel to be lacking in a number of areas, especially when considering this hotel is on the more expensive side for Koh Samui.
We were informed a day before our arrival that the main pool would be closed for maintenance for the bulk of our stay, although disappointing we were ok with this because it was set to reopen the last 2 days of our stay, of course we received a note that the maintenance was to be extended for another 2 weeks!
This left a small ‘lazy river’ pool available, this was mainly a kids pool with attached slide and infringes on the private swim up pools.
To compensate we were offered just 10% off the food NOT including beverages.
And that’s not all of the maintenance, they also flushed the plumbing which led to a stench in the room that I had to call housekeeping to resolve and the water was momentarily brown. Though quickly resolved by the team.
Aside from the maintenance, the beach area was pleasant, however the hotel should be mindful of the guest experience when it comes to the constant interruption of street vendors who also loiter around the sunbeds for most of the day.
Transfer to and from the airport (5 mins) for 900 baht is expensive when compared to taxis across the island (or the rest of Thailand!) - book your own. Hotel needs to be fair to guests and this comes across as another way for the hotel to money grab.
Rooms are quite big with a huge balcony and reception staff are lovely

- Breakfast staff are not kind at all
- Location is not the best
Lagoon pool access rooms beautiful I love the position of the property. Everything else in the property was amazing.

They were doing major works to the Infiniti pool which was out of their control but such a inconvenience also when you were sitting at the beach or you heard was construction work property is showing signs of age ageing and some maintenance is required
We paid a premium for our room and didn’t get to use the infinity pool and only found out one day prior otherwise we would’ve cancelled this property and got a property with a pool
We had an amazing stay at Meliá Koh Samui and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Koh Samui. The resort is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay.
A special thank you to Kim, Fern, Zena, Sachi, Tamarind, Piak, Nat, and Maya for making our vacation even more special. They were all incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality truly made a difference and made us feel at home.

For our first stay on Koh Samui the Meliá ticked all the boxes albeit with a few quirks.
We had booked a Level pool access room and when prompted by an email from the Meliá a few weeks out from the stay I requested a king bed - more on this later.
Three days before check in we received a welcome email from the Level that was full of information and a note that the Level lounge was closed and the Power Lounge was being used instead. This prompted us to search online and we also discovered that the main pool was also closed. We decided to go ahead with the booking knowing that the experience was not going to be what we had planned or paid a premium rate for.
The room: The weirdest layout we have encountered, mainly due to the twin beds being pushed together so the power outlets were then in the middle of the massive bed, only one side had a side table and the bed linen didn’t fit properly - an inventive way to meet my king bed request?. Other power outlets also strangely located next to the couch without a table near by.
The water in the outdoor tub always ran a murky yellow which was off putting.
After swimming around the lagoon pool we think that our room was one of the better ones (614) as it was sunny in the morning and not too shaded in the afternoon.
Housekeeping was good although we never had turndown service which we thought was included in the Level room.
The pool access: Fantastic and easily our favourite thing about the hotel.
The spa: We had a great massage but the whole space felt like it was designed for another use, sitting and having ginger tea after the massage right in front of the reception desk/computer that was printing our bill was another off putting quirk. I went back and used the sauna on another day, also strange as there was no shower or cool off facilities (that I was shown at least).
The breakfast: Amazing, one of the better buffets - hot food was hot and there was also ice cream! Service was attentive too.
The Location: Such an amazing calm sea and beautiful beach and sunrise was spectacular. Enough restaurants and other conveniences close by.
The Service: A bit hit and miss, one gent in particular (sorry I am terrible with names) was great, he showed us to our room and was also the driver that picked us up from Samui Central.
A highlight was the free Thai Boxing session - worth taking the time to do it.
The lowlight was the lack of communication that the Level and main pool were shut until the day of our free cancellation period, the pool had been shut for days so it could have and should been communicated earlier.
All up there were enough good points to the hotel (and location) that we would love to come back when all the facilities are open to have the ‘full’ Level experience, just a shame that this particular stay was impacted by their ‘unplanned’ renovations.
We had a wonderful experience at the hotel, and Siri provided exceptional service throughout our stay.
She was kind, professional, and always happy to help.
