I didn't like anything about this hotel.
My husband and I booked a night from February 13 to February 14, 2026. During the night my husband woke up very itching, very allergic. We checked the bed sheets and there were bed bugs on the sheets and the matress.
We lifted the bed sheets and they hadn't been changed for days, they were dirty and had some dead bed bugs.
I will never, ever recommend this place to anyone.
I'm traumatised.
They will try to choose another room for you to stay because they don't want return the money. DON'T ACCEPT!
Central to town, next door to train and buse station.
Cheap parking, not hotel carpark.
Carpark charges £10 per night
The grade 2 listed building has been part of my life as I'm a fellow Bradford lass whom moved away 5 years ago to a different county .I was visiting due to a family wedding.was looking forward to our visit as we had stayed in the hotel ten years ago for a family wedding in side the hotel .we were very impressed with this large beautiful hotel.at that time very different this time round.
No working lift I'm disabled room cold due to the single pained victorian windows it was actually warmer in the corridor .it's looking tired now no staff on reception all day in back room.no welcome all foreign staff .it lacked professionalism skeleton staff was what we saw .we arrived after having a accident on the motorway so needed to have a cup of tea we explained this to staff they never offered us tea just a £50 damage fee incase we damaged owt, and told we would be getting a £100 parking fine as it does not recognise blue badges ,that when we receive this we have to then email them and they will waver it .also no help offered to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs seen as though the new lift was not yet working.we were not made aware that the lifts were broken when we booked .
It was OK the property was clean
They charged me extra as I was unaware of the checkout time and I went to get ready however they still charged me £20 it was okay for the price it was okay for the price it it
Recently had my wedding here. Penthouse suite was exceptional, the planning and reception were phenomenal. Huge shoutout to the lady running the team on the night who integrated and executed her role so well that we actually thought she was one of the guests! Such an enjoyable experience
Easy Access to train station and city
Paid Parking
We had our wedding reception here and used The Great Victoria's own events planner, along with the Velasco Suite Room.
We used the the Penthouse for the day before and the big day itself itself.
The location was perfect for us to walk to and from the Register Office, couldn't fault that.
The Penthouse was a mix of the building's classic, original characteristics. We had a comfortable stay and the team at Great Victoria couldn't do enough for us - we definitely felt like the stars of the venue, so thank you all.
The events planner, Muqaddas was attentive, kind, warm and nothing was too much trouble for her. There were zero hidden costs, everything was explained if we weren't sure and our event was given the focus and effort it deserved. Muqqadas, you're a credit to all events planners!
The Velasco was perfect for our evening reception. The waiter team were perfect and had a huge impact on the running of the day. You're all so lovely! Never change your personalities, you're all absolutely spot on!
To sum up - We really did have the most memorable day, it was perfect on every way. We wanted laid back and casual and that's exactly what we got.
We hope you enjoyed the mini Colin caterpillars we left for you. A huge thank you to you all!
5* without a shadow of a doubt!

Very central to bradford good train and bus links
no lift not good for older people , a little tired needed tlc
The two staff members on arrival were very nice and accommodating aa it was very late into the night
Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable due to spring issues , and I didn’t actually manage to sleep more than a couple of consecutive hours due to excessive noise from doors banging between 1.30am and 5.00am , which was due to either a guest with zero hotel etiquette or an overly friendly ghost
Close to interchange station.
Cheap
The lift has been out of order for about 4 months.
Each time was told would be fixed within a week but it’s still broken.
The location was suitable for our stay and the breakfast was lovely. The room was clean and spacious.
Lift was out of order and no water in the room. Also a £50 pre authorisation payment was expected and does not get returned till over 5 days later
