Very close to centre and rail station
Nothing
Fabulous building on need of refurbishment
Nothing always works. Tv remote. Opening windows. Plus in bathroom
Proximity to the concert venue and central location
?
Close to the venue we were attending. Very close to the train station/bus station. Member of staff we spoke to was really lovely. Our room was clean and comftable
Curtains didn't close properly. Minor detail but to my grandson it was huge
I like the fact that the staff are there when you need them but not in your face and allover you. That definitely makes me want to return.
The coffee cartons of milk had gone sour all four of them unfortunately.I didn't complain but others may.I just went out and bought my own
Exelcent staff and manger and exellent food
Nothing
Location to train station and Bradford live
Not much staff on
Location, comfortable bed
The breakfast was not very good considering the price. The coffee was tasteless, maybe they should invest in a coffee macine
Lovely location and a beautiful hotel.
Awful pre-cooked breakfast. When I asked for replacement fresh bacon, it appeared 1 min later and was almost as rubbery as before. When I complained to the manager, he told me everything is cooked a la carte.
Nothing
We were extremely disappointed with our stay at The (not so) Great Victoria Hotel. The room appeared to be one of the oldest in the property, with cracked walls, poor upkeep, and no air conditioning. Ventilation throughout the building was also very poor, making the hallways feel stuffy and uncomfortable.
The most serious issue, however, was discovering bugs crawling in and out of the headboard only four hours after checking in. I was left with multiple red bites afterwards, which is completely unacceptable in any hotel, especially one charging £80 per night.
I would never have booked if I knew I’d be paying £80 to hang with bugs for 4 hours!
What made the experience even worse was the response from staff. When we reported the issue, reception seemed uninterested and no one was sent to inspect the room. The hotel appeared dismissive of a serious cleanliness and hygiene concern.
Overall, this stay was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and poorly handled by management. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.
The old building is beautiful
I had a broken kettle and the inside of the kettle was dirty, it had limescale on the bottom plate and had gone all brown
Location of the conference I was attending and close to station. Food was good.
Did not seem suited to business guests: Wifi v slow and intermittent, chairs, while comfortable to watch TV were too low at desk to use a laptop comfortably. The rrom was very hot with windows sealed so no fresh air. A fan was provided, but not good for oevernight.
Some staff were less than hospitable, with one manager being very confrontational.
Lovely building, location and decor.
Carpet in room 405 was absolutely disgusting and full of white stains-I have an autoimmune disease and this kind of dirty is dangerous for me.
