Det var väldigt svårt att ta sig hem från byn på natten. Fick bli en taxi för 1000 Nkr. Kuddarna var alldeles för tjocka.

Le fait que la piscine soit payante non précisée sur le site, le fait que l'hotel soit à 1Km avec une montée de la première station de métro et surtout que les trottoirs soient inexistants ce n'est pas indiqué sur le site.. c'est totalement intolérables donc non adaptés par les moyens de transport en commun seulement accessible en taxi !!!
je peux ajouter que le personnel était économe sur les explications à l'accueil et peu au service des clients.. a noter que les explications écrites à la réception ne sont pas en anglais mais en norvégien
et détail pas de chaine internationale (que anglais allemand pas espagnol, italien ou français ... )

The Aircon in the room does not work, I asked twice at reception about this on two separate days and nothing happened to resolve the issue. You have to ask yourself why does a hotel put winter duvets on a bed in the summer in the middle of a heat wave and the Aircon in the room also does not work. I’m can also say that lunch and dinner are not very nice at this hotel, breakfast is fine.

Kamer lag in een uiterste hoek van het gebouw zonder uitzicht. Zijwand van het bad was kapot. Sommige lampen werkten niet.

The shower facilities felt somewhat outdated, with visible dents on both the bathroom shelf and the room table.
The hotel is located in a fairly remote area. If you do not have a car, the metro station (T-banen) is the only practical transportation option and is approximately a 15-minute walk from the hotel. From there, it takes around 30–40 minutes to reach the city center by train. The hotel also offers a taxi transfer service. While the walking route is pleasant in good weather and when traveling light, it can be quite inconvenient and exhausting after a long journey, especially when carrying heavy luggage.

We choose the hotel as it is located in the forest above Oslo; we were looking forward to a nice and quiet place in nature.
The first night was a disaster- obviously there was a wedding and music was blasting away until the early morning. We did not get any sleep before 3.30am. At breakfast the next morning there was no space to sit - we waited in the lobby to grab a place as soon as someone left- we had to clear the left-overs away ourselves as service was quite limited/overwhelmed. The buffet looked as if scavengers had been around, around the drinking fountains there was litter and stains and a lot of the food has not been filled up, so we had to eat the rests of the wedding party. Overall a more than unpleasant experience.
Large groups of guests and individual travellers are not really compatible; management should inform guests in advance and leave them the choice. Unfortunately we had paid in advance, otherwise we would have left after that night. Individual travelers should not be treated as “second class guests” but with large groups in-house all the focus was on the m and the individual guests were just some add-ons.

Another unpleasant experience was that, as soon as we had paid, the price dropped. Not very nice either.

Ther restaurant/breakfast room lacks atmosphere- there are mainly extremely big tables, as the hotel caters for groups. Somehow it had the charm of a station cafeteria.
On day 3 our room had not been serviced when we came back late afternoon.
Some tourist info, like hiking options in the area, would have been useful.
Some staff did not even greet when passing you at breakfast or in the hallways, not a great sign of hospitality.
Chair in room had a hole.
You have to pay extra for parking.

- Long metro ride from the city center, and a 10 minute walk from the metro station (Voksenkollen). Not a problem for me (quite the contrary actually) but people with disabilities might find it challenging to get there. Also, the road from the metro lacks a sidewalk on some parts (it is not very busy though)
- The above was kinda compensated by an e-scooter station being at the hotel (Bolt and Voi) - thanks to which I had the most amazing scooter ride in my life on the surrounding roads.
- No shops in the immediate proximity, closest one was at the Besserud metro station. Again, not a big problem with such a beautiful metro ride!
