È stato un soggiorno bellissimo. Lo staff è stato sempre disponibile, professionale e molto gentile. L’hotel è uno dei più belli che abbia mai visto, curato in ogni dettaglio. La piscina interna è semplicemente stupenda e rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Consigliatissimo!
This was our second visit and we knew it wouldn’t disappoint. We went with friends this time who instantly fell in love with the Grand Dame of Viareggio.
Room spotless we didn’t have a sea view this time, purely on the basis I am a poor sleeper and the side rooms I thought were quieter, top marks to the lady that did our room.
Breakfast delicious and plentiful, dinner delicious. And the waiters and waitresses are on point. Thank you Alexandro,Stefano , Micheal and Serena huge thank you.

Aminta Beach bar is spotless the girls in the bar/restaurant are lovely. Comfy sunbeds and so peaceful.
The Bar… no words it’s a hub where people meet up. With the best cocktails we’ve had since our trip to the Ritz of course made by the super talented Nicola and the lovely lady that’s with him on the bar. Nicola is the guy that keeps people from going out in the evening!! his charisma is infectious. The bar area has a charming atmosphere where you meet people and make new friends.
The hotel have wonderful staff and the manager looks after them, it’s their superpower.

Just returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Grand Royal
Room as per usual in Italy not the largest but spotlessly clean and comfortable with balcony overlooking the beach
As others have said even though we were on 4th floor was quite noisy at times
We were on half board -breakfast was the usual varied assortment
The evening meal was excellent which was basically a four course meal with buffet to start and then three courses which was ordered at breakfast
Could not fault the standard it was excellent throughout
Prices for wine very reasonable about 20 euros for a nice Tuscan bottle of white
The pool was one of the best we have experienced and sun beds were always available
The staff were excellent in particular the bar and pool bar guys and reception staff always helpful
The central location to the promenade and beaches was good. The 25 m pool was a HUGE bonus - it was much nicer to lounge at the pool than at the beach, where all beach chairs and umbrellas were available to rent (the norm in most of Europe), and also having to deal with vendors hawking their wares and massages being offered (so not as peaceful at the beach as at the pool).
The property is large and has lots of comfortable places to sit/lounge, not all at the pool. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The staff were all friendly and very helpful.
We had a lovely, large suite, with a not so large bathroom that had a tub shower with a handheld (long-handled) shower head that did not sit properly in the holder - so awkward to shower.
However, that was just a very minor inconvenience. The rest of the property is AMAZING!

magnifico, first stayed here in 2021 and have been back each year , sometimes twice in a year , Absolutely love this hotel , staffs , and area.... we now find it difficult to holiday anywhere else , staff always helpful , from reception , bar , restaurant,breakfast , pool area .......just love it , even kept an item we left in our last room and saved it for our return 2 months later ...food is outstanding for breakfast and evening in the outside restaurant .... see you all soon .. paul
Ein Wunderschönes Hotel, direkt am der Promenade von Viareggio. Tip Top gepflegt, es ist wie eine kleine Zeitreise in die frühen 1900er Jahre. Das Personal ist super freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das gesamte Anwesen ist hervorragend gepflegt und das Frühstück einfach umwerfend, es fehlt an nichts selbst verschieden Glutenfreie Kuchen, Brownies und andere Leckereien waren in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden.
Für uns gibt es absolut nichts zu beanstanden.

Nothing - if I had to say one thing is that maybe a little more option of food and drink at the pool bar
