Comfortable, great staff, very attentive and pleasant. Room is comfortable and pleasant.

Cons:

Gustave Dore is amazing, but all the etchings / prints that are violent or negative are extremely bad feng shui, because of that I can never recommend the hotel to anyone, even though everything was great.
I also did not like the cafe restaurant at all, food was pretty bad, and music was not restful at all. Restaurant staff also unpleasant and not professional, completely different from great hotel staff.

Nos pareció espectacular el edificio, la decoración, el personal muy bien predispuesto. El restaurante donde sirven el desayuno es maravilloso. El gym es algo austero pero de muy buen nivel. Las habitaciones son preciosas, las camas grandes y cómodas.

Nada! pero el cuarto algo pequeño y no posee placard cerrado.

Fabulous hotel for great holidays
Pros:

Amazing old Spanish city palace recently renovated to a modern hotel yet preserving many old details that give a glamorous look. The location is fantastic, close to the Atocha train station and within a walking distance to the centre of Madrid, but also with a metro station nearby. The reception staff was great, very polite and professional, offering a welcome drink while checking in. I have chosen a great Spanish cava. The restaurant looks really spectacular, high ceiling and chandeliers, an amazing architecture, a combination of old and very modern. The breakfast was very delicious with anything you could wish for and more. The room had a very modern and interesting design with a washing basin in the room but all very nicely assembled. The bed was very comfortable for a great night sleep. Highly recommended if you like to add on a little luxury and extravagance to your journey in such a great city.
